Random Commanders Thoughts

I'd like to think so as well.

he said a bunch of people played through their knee issues. I hope he isn't downplaying issues and all of them are really OK.

Kam Chancellor just crushed Calvin Johnson.

I was really hoping that he wouldn't return to Seattle.

I just said "he channeled his inner s dot"

I have a funny feeling we are going to struggle on the road this season

This feels like it was written before the season in respects to Gruden. Sorry, I can't believe he being at 2-2 makes him on the hot seat.

Yep, milk that "The Redskins are a potential click-bait story" cow 'til every teat runs dry.

I hope none of these sports media "pundits" are upset that I no longer pay attention.

I'm starting to warm up to Crowder. It's hard to root for a Dookie. He killed our team at UVA many times (so have a lot of other players) and that is hard to deal with.

Ok kid, keep doing good things and I will be aboard.

Ugh.

Remember when Gibbs was asked before the 91 Season, "Does it bother you that you are not favored to do well in the division by some"(or something to that matter), and Gibbs asked the reporter, "Who said this?!". The reporter replied, Playboy. Gibbs said, well there you go Playboy talking football.

Actually, it was that they were predicted to go to the Superbowl not that they wouldn't do well in the division. After the Redskins just lost to Cleveland in the preseason, they were 1-2 and not looking good (and we all know how much preseason means). Gibbs was asked after the game by Steve Buckhantz what he thought about the prediction by Playboy that the Redskins would go to the Superbowl. Gibbs, as was his custom, wanted to keep expectations low and put pressure on the players to perform better (making them not think too much of themselves). That's when he said "Playboy, Playboy, Playboy picking football, take that for what it’s worth, Steve. We haven’t won a division around here in four years, and I think you have to look at the source. I’m not taking that as a knock on our team. Anybody who wants to say it, they can go ahead and say it. But certainly nobody around here has said it. Right now, we’ve got real problems."

Wow did I mess that up. I wish that were on Youtube. It was funny watching Gibbs get upset about Playboy. lol

2-2 REDSKINS

Pierre Garcon's clutch-and-brace effort at the goal line on Sunday was a thing of football beauty. Making that kind of grab -- then holding on despite immediately getting popped -- is worthy of a division win in and of itself. Leaning on the running game (32 rushes for 127 yards) and one of the better front sevens in the league led to Washington winning third down -- and, ultimately, the game. Philly went 4 for 13 on third and fourth downs, while the 'Skins were 9 for 17 -- all the difference in a 23-20 contest. Nice poise, Kirk Cousins.

Have patience, my friend, it will come.

Unless we go unbeaten the rest of the season and win the SB, it will return.

Well, the team won basically without both starting corners. Culliver was out there at 50%.

If you had said that a couple of months ago, adding in the dings to Jackson and Reed I wouldn't have believed it.

I really hate that people are trying to give Kyle so much credit for Atlanta's offense. You have Julio Jones, Roddy White (older), and Matt Ryan. You should be pretty damn good. Plus they were making the playoffs deep years before he showed up.

I like Carrier almost as much as Reed. He isn't as dynamic but he is on the field at least and he is able to make catches and block.

Having DJax back would make probably not having Reed a little less problematic.

Jackson, Garcon, Crowder ... there's something there.

Does anyone have a link to the short video clip of Kirk celebrating in the tunnel after the Philly game?

Don't think DJax did a full practice but was working on things enough to test his hammy.
Keim thing he has a better chance to go than Reed.

Safety extraordinaire Karl Joseph just had a season ending knee injury. Could now be a steal in the 2016 draft.
