Amazing what the internet has wrought.

[h=2]Bio:[/h] Mike is a Contributing Writer for Chat Sports, covering news and rumors for the NFL and NCAA. He’s a Boston-area sports fan, expect for the Red Sox. As strange as it sounds, he’s a Yankees fan. Mike is a 2011 graduate of Boston University and says 'The Chive' is his favorite iPhone app other than Chat Sports.

Impressive credentials, I see a pulitzer prize is his future...... for fictional drama.

the chive....the chive? Really? You professional blurb about yourself has you saying that you "love the chive"?!

We all like boobs and hot women...but you don't put that out ANYWHERE you want to be taken seriously in a business manner.

Yep. He's just a kid writing on a fan site. With the advent of fan-driven sites like Bleacher Report and that one, it takes a little discernment on the part of the consumer to understand the difference between something written by a wannabe watching games from his couch and professional observers of the game who bring at least some level of credibility to the table.

"expect for the Red Sox"

Yup, that's a college grad, huh.

Culliver (knee/quad/groin) was dragging his leg pretty badly as he walked into the building for treatment while teammates practice.

There talking about the weather, if it's a bad enough prediction there may be a bye week swap since both Philly and DC have the same bye week.

Don't know if I'd want it to happen now because a bye further down the road might be a tipping point to make 'dramatic' changes .

On the other hand it would give current ailments a chance to heal like DJax etc. and allow more practice reps for the LG but we'll come out against Atlanta with a bunch of time without a real game, not too sure of that benefit either.

It sounds like Culliver is okay. He's expected to play this weekend. We may have dodged a bullet on that one.

Desean still isn't practicing though. I was really hoping that he would play this weekend.

Maybe he wants Hugh Hefner's job. Those credentials sound the guy who says "hey, if I mention my favorite pizza place during an interview on the Internet, maybe I can score some free pizzas."

if Desean hasn't practiced once why would he even be considered for Sunday's game?

Lack of game style play is what has done this to him. He trained all offseason but not anything at game speed. Ridiculous.

I don't think it's ridiculous at all Mike. Jackson is still the best WR on this team, and it's not close. He's proven it over and over. He's got a ton of experience, and even rusty I think he'd be the best guy out there. As Gruden said 'he's a special player'. I would rather he wait and get fully healthy personally.

He hasn't even tested or ran on it at all. But because it's against his former team it's ok?

Griffin got slammed for trying to play hurt.

I dont want to see him out there til he gets a whole week of practice. Muddy field, high winds, at most he would be a decoy, and wouldn't be able to run at full speed anyways.

Yeah, I'm not in a hurry to see him rush back ... he re-strains that hammy trying to get going on a wet track, which would not be unusual, and we might go another 4-5 weeks without him. In a rebuild season, I'd rather see us develop Grant, Crowder and Ross and have a healthy DJax to throw into the mix when he's actually ready to go 100%.

That said, if he plays Sunday, I'm gonna absolutely want Kirk going over-the-top to him early to discourage Philly from stacking the box with 13 guys.

Yeah, if he's out there, I'd have him play action to Jax on the first play from scrimmage, I don't care if he puts it 10 yards past him and it's meant to just keep them honest.. just get their attention.

But that's the way he got hurt in the first place. He apparently hasn't even gotten to the point where he can try that in practice. They do that with him this Sunday they may have to follow that up with sending him to IR.

I like the concept, but do it with one of the young speed guys and keep Jackson inactive this week. Heck do it multiple times, maybe even hit one, just not with Jackson.

Pretty much where I stand on the matter.
Didn't realize he was a little lazy during rehab

Tandler Redskins ramblings
10. There is virtually no chance that DeSean Jackson plays against the Eagles, as much as he might like to. His hamstring pull was fairly serious and three weeks after it happened is too much to ask. Jackson admitted that his leisurely pace of rehabbing after his shoulder injury early in camp may have had something to do with his injury. He is approaching 30 (turns 29 on December 1) and he needs to figure out that you need to work harder as you get older, not rest on your laurels. Santana Moss figured it out, I’m not so confident that Jackson will
As mentioned, we need to work the young guys in, Crowder, Ross should be capable alternatives I would think.
Reed is also a good bet.

Of course it all depends on Kirk making it happen too.
