Random Commanders Thoughts

She's a rams fan..there is nothing about her (I assume) loyal to Washington.

I met mike Carey last night...he was a really cool dude. He was at a brewery I was at and we discussed football for about 20 minutes.

Then he found out I was a redskins fan....

I asked him why he wouldn't say redskins and he said "it's derogatory" to which I said "have you seen all the native American people who support it?"

"Yes, and I'm sure you can find some black...."

"Dude, don't compare it to the N word. You aren't that silly"

"I should get back to my table "

We ended with a bro hug. He's a cool dude...but clearly miaguided.

Just watched a football life where the feature was Jennifer Allen covering the "feersome foursome". She did a good job on it, wonder if the Bruce has ever tried to get her on staff?

I think he consults her when picking the uniform combinations.

Oh, well if she's a goat's fan then the Bruce should shun her...like an Amish hooker.

You are talking about Mike Carey the retired ref, correct? That's cool that you got to meet him and he was a cool guy. But...

How can he be a Redskins fan if he finds the name so offensive? Would that be a contradiction of his deeply held beliefs? That's why I don't get about some of these arguments. I don't want to derail this thread into the name debate, but good grief Mike Carey. And good on you Mike for calling him on it.

Looks like Fred Davis will be lighting 'em up in New England this season.

For as much as people love bellicheat he sure likes to take chances with trash players that end up sucking.

But Bellichick never spends much on these reclamation projects.

Every year he ends up with 10-12 draft picks.

Patriots have suffered some personnel losses that to me will set them back in 2015.

You don't lose Revis, Browner and Wilfork and not suffer a void.

In the habitually weak AFC East they can still win but I don't see them as a SB favorite again.

Seems like he doesn't want to spend much on his good players either. Pats are going to cut Kyle Arrington. He did a great job almost shutting down T.Y. Hilton in the deflategate game. I'd be all for signing him and ditching Hall and Porter.

Pats wins tainted?

I wonder what folks would think of George Allen operating in the league today?

Sending spies out to every opponents practice
Having someone operate the bay doors at RFK to let the wind in on opposing kickers and then mysteriously closed when the Skins kick

It's fairly hypocritical IMO.

Ever since professional football has existed, teams and players have always looked for an edge, "pushing the envelope" almost always.

Hell, even Joe Bugel has admitted that coaches on Gibbs' staff tried to steal hand signals from the other team.

IMO, there's no difference in spying on teams and stealing signs and Russ Grimm telling Randy White what play is coming and where the ball is going.

Just the usual bunch of horse hockey from the sports media as usual.
