If it's any consolation, he doesn't appear to have given Colt and support. Like I said in another thread, Gruden was not too kind to Colt in the tape breakdown on the coaches show with Cooley last night.

Yeah, I'm willing to give the guy at least another year, but I'm really not sure what to take from a "QB Guru" who has now dragged both his QBs into a public square, flogged them & placed them in stocks for the media to throw rotten tomatoes at.

Actually, he's done it to all 3. But does anything higher than zero really make it better? Gruden looks lost, and so far he's proven that he can't make it work with a QB with all the physical tools, a QB that makes quick decisions and quick throws, and a QB that has been around and tries really, really hard.

got to part ways with ya here Mike. there will be some team willing to take the risk on a player who has registered 11, 9 and 10 sack seasons - injuries or not. what the pay will be is another matter. rak will take what is offered and move on.

I am so close to checking out on this team but someone else's comments about Jets and Raiders and Browns fans etc has made me pause. I'm upset right now and will continue to be but I'll continue to root for this team. What I won't be doing is buying season tix or spending so much money on things related to the team anymore. It was a bit excessive anyway, so maybe that's not a completely bad thing.

What sucks the most for me though is my kids are in their formative years 8 and 11 and they have no interest in rooting for a team so prone to suckage. I would love to share game and football experiences with them but have no luck because the team is such a drag.

The Jets? Seriously, the ****ing Jets? If anyone thinks we are as bad as the Jets they need to take a deep breath and take a look at that shit show up there.

The Raiders? We beat the Raiders last year when we were just as bad.

I know its a big ledge and a dark bottom...but let's try not to get TOO crazy with the overreactions.

stay strong brother. It's been tough but even the old Hogfest days we were a supremely struggling franchise and those games are some of my best memories. It's bigger then W/L for kids that age. It's an experience with dads, uncles, brothers, cousins, family members, family friends, and whoever else shares the passion. I admit it's harder for them to root publicly because younger kids who are fans of other teams, aren't exactly open and supportive to a fan of a struggling franchise, but those moments are a lot deeper then the product on the field

I do feel really bad for my nine year-son. 2012 made him a huge fan, and the team has been just been awful ever since.

Yesterday in a fit of despair he wailed 'can you just win one more game!?'

It broke my heart knowing the answer was most likely no.

This is what makes me the most angry. Snyder, it's not just the games you're losing. You're gonna lose your future fans.

I'm with you, bro. 2012 was the year Sian first sat down and watched any real football and it was our first year watching football together in our home. She bought a Sav Rocca (Aussie) jersey, made a ritual of making breakfast every Sunday, we had tradition going and everything.

Yesterday I looked over in the 3rd quarter and she was sleeping....with her back to the TV. Part of me wishes I was able to do the same.

But I won't be going anywhere barring a name change. This is my team..my teammates. I am as big a part of the organization as any player is and I am going to be passing it down to Drogo and Abel.

First drive - Colt comes out firing to Garcon who then does what he does best and turns up field for another 5-6 physical yards. It is working great and Garcon is getting production early.

Then Colt throws a drive killing (and point getting) interception. After that they are doubling Garcon which means that someone else should be in single coverage.

We barely use Helu out of the backfield on screen plays and the one time we do (**** that BS penalty) he gets 40-50 yards on it. But why didn't we go back to it again? It works every single week.

Instead, we ran pitch plays that start -5 yards and always end up getting us stacked in the box. Morris was getting hit so much in the backfield you would have thought the DL had VIP access to his lanes.

Colt killed 2 potentially point getting drives and that just screamed Rex Grossman to me. I know its hard to hear but he just looks nervous when we are driving down in to their territory and he now has a habit of throwing picks when we could be getting points. He also took 6 sacks yesterday and IMO he took himself out of the game. After watching the "hit" he took it didn't appear to be that bad. Granted, it could be. But after 5 previous sacks and only 2 minutes left in the game it appeared he was done.

The point was if fans of those teams are still kickin and carrying the torch I think fans of ours who have seen a lot more success can. Clear as mud?
