Agreed. The scariest thing to me is watching his decision match those of the fans that sways back & forth like the rolling of the sea during a storm. He needs to keep the voices that decide the direction of the Redskins to a minimum. Coaches, scouts, GM. That's it.
and we'll be here next season discussing the eternal verity that coaches shouldn't pick talent. a strong GM and a good scouting dept. the lurking problem is that Gruden moves the team to a new set of players (which takes 2-3 years), the franchise continues to lose or reaches only to mediocrity (i.e., Cowboys) and the coach is gone w/i 4 yrs. then the whole cycle starts all over again. the team needs a stable FO like B-more, an identity, and keep to both.

that was a Jay Gruden draft. yes...there's always another year to develop. no difference makers thus far. lest we forget...until everything shifted to moving Griffin out of town...Gruden constantly harped about turn-overs.
