The 49ers have lost 4 games this season so far. Yes, they have a good defense. But this is not the '85 Bears.

Again, at least 4 teams have been able to beat this great defensive juggernaut in 2014 :)

What I am trying to say here and some folks aren't listening is that the SAME Griffin we saw in the opener against Houston, the indecisive quarterback that holds the ball too long and doesn't make plays in the red zone is the SAME guy that came back 7-8 weeks later.

Nothing has changed.
 
I'm done with the build your team around a franchise qb....That's horseshit. Get a decent O line and then draft your qb. Way too many misses for most teams drafting that franchise guy when the team is in shambles in other areas.
 
Subway Bob is done as a starting Qb.

Time to throw another one on the scrap heap.
 
Ryan Tannehill, a player converted to qb from another position in college, is now looking to have a better NFL career than Griffin.

Griffin's college system under Art Briles was meant to win COLLEGE games. It doesn't produce players ready to play at a high level in the NFL.

Meanwhile, the teams that are smart enough to target talented players from teams that run a pro style offense don't end up having to completely tear a guy down and build him up to play at this level.
 
Dear God..... please make Gruden start McCoy next week. I could really use the entertainment listening to all the Colt apologists when he gets his milk money taken away, and his ass handed to him. It's said that Colt is the future of the franchise, and we really have nobody on the team but the current QB to blame for our failure thus far, but I'm really hoping for a Capen Kirk return, because after all, he is our best QB.

I don't ask for much, so maybe ya can help a brother out here.
 
We don't have a starting NFL caliber Qb on the roster.

Damn the bad luck.
 
To be honest, I think the Redskins are a 6-10 or at best 7-9 team with either Cousins or McCoy starting the season and that's with the defense playing as consistently as it did today.

But Griffin is 0-4 this season with two of those games against weak clubs in Minny and TB, one against an average team in Houston, and only one game against a top flight opponent.

I wouldn't expect the Redskins to beat the Colts with any of the three quarterbacks on the roster. Andrew Luck will expose the weaknesses in the secondary that Kaepernick failed to.

The truth, though, is that now we know we are treading water in 2014.

Until this team can fix the qb position in the offseason the only thing to look forward to is the development of other younger players who will be a part of the core going forward - guys like Keenan Robinson, Bashaud Breeland, etc.

Nah. Griffin has to play this season out. I just jope he doesnt get hurt again leaving us all to wait it out yet again.

Garcon is showing why he was the #3 in Indy. Everyone is frustrated and everyone wants to speak their mind. Nobody wants to be the first to stfu
 
I thought Griffin looked really tentative today. I also hated the playcalling, other than the wealth of handoffs to Almo. They aren't making it easy on Griffin with the playcalling, or with the protection schemes. I think his confidence, for whatever reason, is completely shot.
 
I've never been a Garcon fan. He's a me, me, me guy and has been the first one to run his mouth from almost the minute he got here. I'll be glad when he's playing for some other team.

I agree. To me he looks very tentative. I imagine it's a combination of things such as concentrating on trying to do the right thing, worried about the protection, learning to be a pocket passer, etc. He rarely seems to have a pocket to step up into and I think that has caused him to float back more than he should contributing to some of the sacks. From a play calling perspective, he only threw it 19 times today...3 of which came in the last two possessions when we needed to throw including 2 sacks and a scramble by him. I remember last year how he would look so much better running a 2 min drill than the rest of the game. I think a lot of that came from just playing ball and doing what came naturally.

My take is his psyche is hurt big time, but if we have any chance of making anything out of him we have to ride him through the end of the year unless he totally falls apart. McCoy and Cousins aren't the long term answers and Robert has the best chance to be that.
 
Does it seem like he gets the extra hard hitting sacks, too?

I saw him lifted off the ground, there is almost always a helmet hit, and he's almost always peeling himself off the turf.

The kid gets beat up! I'm not so sure I wouldn't be tentative myself
 
So now Garçon is a "me" player?

All wide outs want the ball. I wouldn't have one on my team that didn't.

My guess is that if social media existed in the 80s, some folks would've thought the same of Gary Clark, cause he was know to pitch a fit on the sidelines when he felt he wasn't being used enough.
 
I'm not talking about him wanting the ball - but I think he's a hot head with a big mouth. You don't have to agree with me.
