You're right, we don't need to see what you do.... but often after a game.... I'd say loss, but that's all we do at this point, after games things get exaggerated giving people somebody to point a finger at.

I didn't see shook, I saw smart.

On every punt, there gunner/gunners got off the line untouched, and in were position to blast him. The balls he let go over his head, he should have. Even though, after getting pinned at the one, he broke the rule and fielded one at the 9. If he starts dropping the ball when the coverage guys have him surrounded, waiting for the ball to land, then I could think he's shook. But not until then. Our blocking for returns is almost non-existent.

well, its definitely not exaggerated. and im definitely not pointing fingers.

what I am doing is observing the game from my perspective and saying what I see. You dont see it, and thats cool Pete. But its not exaggerated nor am I looking to blame Roberts for our losses. I am merely stating that it looks like he has lost the edge for returning punts.

Ax, I understand that but with most teams you have to make the first guy miss on a punt and then take off. its not happening here from what I see. If I was the only one who saw it I might be less vocal about it.

You may well be right Mike. I know I miss the days of Mike Nelms, who wouldn't call a fair catch if a herd of Rhino's were 6 inches away and charging.

He's gonna want to show his ass in Arizona. I won't mind some extra aggression. So long as he doesn't take chances, just to take chances. We certainly need to do a better job at blocking the oppositions gunners, too.

I will admit I thought Roberts looked very cautious in several of the returns. There was one in the 2nd half where there wasn't a coverage guy within 15
Yards of him and he fair caught it.

Seems to conflict though with what Gruden is saying. Gruden said today:

“He’s just working with the trainers right now. There’s no update to give, really. He’s doing what he can, he’s taking it day-by-day and trying to get stronger and that’s all I can say. I don’t have any idea as far as a timetable is concerned. I know that once he feels like he can start to run and start to practice then we’ll slowly install him, but it’ll be at least a week or two of good full practice before he gets back on the field. He’s going to need the reps and get back on with the offense.”

Doesn't seem to jibe with some of the tweets I've seen today.

He does work for the Post, our long time media 'friends'.

Might notice that Skins coverage by the Post is often less than flattering, especially after losses.

I've often thought that since Woodward and Bernstien the Post tends to make everything a 'something-gate' with the obligatory arrogance of those who think they've dug up the storyline.

Many in the media respond poorly to having the 'hard questions' thrown back at them, they tend to squeal loudly and absolutely bear no accountability for their opinions and influence. Kinda' like the playground bullies that get hit back and run off sobbing as the rest of the kids laugh at them

It's a shame, solid investigative reporting seems to have givenway to tabloid splash for affect.

Not sure of the full story but I do know that Clark was being grilled about the 'jovial locker room after a loss' thing.

Clark turned it around and asked the reporters how they reacted after an NFL loss (implying, of course, that none had ever played in the NFL) . Created a bit of huff n' bluster in the local media.

I still want to know what happened that caused the yelling by Reid and then having to be restrained. Clearly he was touchy about that subject. And if he was yelling in the locker room at anyone, then his behavior is far worse than any player yelling. If I yell in my house, that's my house. If someone else comes in my house and starts yelling, they will be asked to leave. He is in the teams house, he needs to show respect and professionalism. But I guess his place of employment doesn't demand that. I'm sure they encourage what he did.

Agreed. It's one thing to write slop and stir the pot, like JReid always does, it's another thing to lose your cool the way he did. Totally unprofessional, and ironic given that he was calling out Skins players for the way they were acting. Jeeeeez.
