Random Commanders Thoughts

6 people showed up at the Texans game to protest....the NBC Sports headline read "This is not going away"

Michael David Smith is an idiot.

Roberts looks like he knows how to return kicks too

With 1 sack yesterday, I got a little worried about our pass rush. I thought we might get an upgrade on that this year, but it felt like Zach Galifianakis wasn't pressured that much the majority of the day.

Does having so many good WRs mean we'll overlook a great running game to get them their passes (aka, keep them happy)?

Inquiring minds want to know.

I hope not... for the teams sake. My gut tells me Gruden and McVay just dropped the ball this past weekend and things will look different next week. Especially against a team that came out and turned it over early against Philly.

The passing game is what needs fixing. Better to work on that early. The better it gets, the better the run game will be.

I'd love to see Alfred get his yards, on fewer carries.

Gruden does not have a pattern of getting off of the run. Not fair to connect one game, to the previous 4 years.

Beige. I think I will paint the ceiling beige.

Winston is just about done. How many teams has he played for in the last 4 years since Shanahan didn't want him because he was so sure Brown would return.

Right but I'd take a six pack and a bag of chips for Typo at this point so can Winston really be any worse?

OK I have to ask...

Why exactly are we NOT in the Eric Winston talks?

Why isn't any other team in Seastrunk talks? It's possible that everyone's wrong, but Philly's line is absolutely decimated. If you can't make it in Philly, you've got a real uphill battle.

Actually he could. Winston is old, I know he's not blocking in the run as well as Turnstyler. Yeah, a terrible liability in pass-pro, but I am sure they are looking at what he does in the run game.

So we just cut Williams and Crawford from the P.S., promoted Akeem Davis, and bring in 3 new bodies. Has Allen finally had enough with Meriweather? It's assumed that Ihenacho is going to be starting this week, Rambo started at SS last week. Clark is going to be starting at FS, and my mind wants to tell me I remember Davis being able to play both positions, as well as ST. Could we be watching Davis this week in practice and possibly on sunday to see if Meriweather is expendable?
