what does anyone expect? we were 3-13 last year looking reeeeaaaaaal bad most of the time.

this too shall pass.
 
we were 10-6 the year before and divisional winners...

1. Establish Morris early in the middle. Use those ends coming around the outside to your advantage. If you attack the middle of the line, the tackles can push or chip and the DE has taken himself away from the ball carrier. Last time I checked, Morris is VERY good at single cut moves and getting up field. If we can force the DE's to stay home with the threat of the run, the PA could pay big dividends down field.

2. Establish the screen. If Gruden calls plays here, at all like he did in Cinci, we're going to have a very potent secondary back who gets a lot of opportunities out of the backfield. Whether thats Royster/Seastrunk/Redd is yet to be determined, but keeping a back in on the first 2 blitzing situations to block, only to have them release to a screen in the 2nd quarter will be productive and also FORCE the DE's to keep it in mind.. yet another way to force the DE to think about something OTHER then the QB.

3. Clowney is still a rookie. He's a freak of nature, but it's still his meaningful game EVER in the NFL. He's also apparently dealing with getting his bell rung. I haven't been able to find any valid information other then he left practice and did not return. If there's any threat of a concussion, the NFL is going to be all over it. Not banking on him being out or anything, but I'm not gonna write him in as a pro-bowler yet either.

4. Let Jordan Reed own the seam. Hot routes to Jordan Reed in the middle of the field could be huge. If they crash the outsides, then the ILBs are going to NEED to stay at home in the middle to account for runs up the middle and gap control. There's ZERO chance they dont cheat the safeties to account for Garcon/Jackson/Roberts and allow for help over the top, thus leaving a void in the interior of the defense. If we again can establish the run, and utilize the play action at all like we did in 2012, Reed could be a big part of slowing that pass rush down.

5. We NEED to avoid 3rd and long. If we get into a 3rd and 10 situation, run the draw and keep Griff healthy. Obvious passing situations are going to be a lot more difficult.


These are all big 'if's but i think these are ways to try to neutralize that pass rush.

Good ONE! Its nothing more than a slight case of ass pucker before the first game of the year. It'll pass, happens every year ;-O

Offensive line looks like crap for sure. Reed had a catch and run called back that was good, and Morris is being Morris as usual.

Griff threw it late to Jackson once again and almost let the corner walk in the end zone
 
First half looking bad: RG3

First half looking good: Basically everyone else. Especially Kerrigan, Ryan Clark and the entire defense.
 
I'm hoping it's due to playing vanilla and bmore's usual game planning. I like the way the D has shown up tho.

RT and QB continue to be weaknesses.

getting tired of how the refs are actually making the game worse.
 
RGIII is gonna ahve to put aside all the gd media BS and focus on becoming a real QB.

I never thought I'd say this: RGIII is swiftly moving front and center as the weak link.
 
Reed was streaking down the middle when he dumped the ****ing ball off to a double covered Morris. Reed was looking at him and was in the line of vision. He didn't even have to look for him. Literally the guy behind him.
 
Griffin looks awful. The offensive line looks terrible too.

Too many weapons on this offense to not just move up and down the field. An average QB should look great in this offense.
