One of the cool features of the Video Library is the 'YT Browser'. You just type in what you're looking for in the search box, hit search, and it'll pull all of the You Tube content specific to that search up right from the site and videos can be linked really quickly in the Video Library.

Supposedly he showed up in offseason camp in much better shape than last year, so it depends how that translates to the field.

There is going to be pressure on all the Shanahan picks that have ridden the game day inactive list since they were drafted or like Jarvis Jenkins have rarely flashed the promise on the field.

I am not a DL coach but to me Baker looks like the second round pick and Jenkins looks like the street free agent.

Everyone seems to dance around Cofield starting at NT. Haslett lobbied for him originally with the thought his quickness at 300 would produce results in applying pressure. Unfortunately that has not been the case.

It makes little sense to me to start Cofield at NT at 300 and post Baker at 330 out at DE.

To a degree I agree that Shanahan meddled on defense and caused more harm than good, but some of these decisions go back to Haslett and he has never had to explain them.

I don't remember Haslett lobbying for him, but at the time it was a great signing. Then we found out they wanted him at NT and it was like whaaa? Hopefully the experiment is over, and he can go back to DE and wreak havoc.

Just went over our list of UDFA signees.

Cody Hoffman at 6'4 and 223 (WR) and Robert Thomas at 6'1 and 335 (NT) look the most promising in terms of their measurables. Hoffman only runs a 4.65 40 but with his size and good route running (which he needs to develop) he could be a find. Thomas seems very raw but 37 lifts of 225 at his pro day? That's a guy with upper body strength.

Of the others I can't say I am impressed much by Silas Redd. Oft-injured back who tops out at 4.68 and lacks an initial burst. Sounds a lot like Evan Royster, who ironically also went to Penn State.

Rees? I love his draft bio where it says 'projection: undrafted free agent. smart qb with marginal arm strength and limited mobility. Another camp arm.'

Hard to say, but often, when a solid veteran player gets released, he's told by his team to stay in shape in case he's needed. Doughty is a guy who can be trusted on the field, and it's a good bet that he can be trusted to stay ready.

So since the demand for 9th year safeties with marginal speed is pretty low, the Skins have the luxury of using his roster spot to try to find Doughty's eventual replacement. But bear in mind that he's a high-caliber special teams performer as well as a solid tackler. So unless his speed has declined from sloth to slug-level, he's got a decent shot of returning at some point. After all, if he was easily replaced, he'd never have lasted 8 years here.

Not that we should have to worry about a perennial overachiever with a 4.0 GPA who's like a coach on the field. He'll be just fine no matter where he ends up.

Sam, you hit the main point. Doughty as a ST performer is an asset on the team. We just need to ensure we have capable starters ahead of him.

Under Gibbs we had guys like Stephen Hobbs and Sidney Johnson that were here for ST, but we never went 3 or 4 years depending on them to play regular snaps.

I like the chances of this team to win our division. I really do...I think Gruden/Mcvay will find better production from the offense. The defense can only get better. The additions and subtractions from the roster made sense this year. Let's start of with Dallas they are in cap hell due to Romo's huge contract with a big ass guarantee. They lost a bunch of talent and did I mention Romo's back injury? Tough sledding for that team. We played them well with our shitty team last year and swept them the prior year. The Cowboys are a mess. Enjoy

I really don't know what to expect from Dallas, Philly, and NY which makes predicting anything that much harder. I don't think we're a 3-13 team, I think Griffin's inability to physically perform last season, coupled with the implosion internally, just lead to a downward spiral that impacted almost everyone's performance. I think both those factors have been resolved so I look for us to be a much stronger team, particularly with some significant talent added.

This team is absolutely better than the 2012 team that won the division.
Theoretically, that should mean that we go deeper into the playoffs this year.
However, the thing that may over-ride that theory is that the 2012 was actually over-acheivers.
I still havn't figured out what got into the team, to win those 7 straight. But I'm pretty sure it wasn't Coach Shanahan's motivation.
That streak was almost "Sean Taylor-esque" the way they amassed relentless determination, reminiscent to the tribute the Redskins put together to honor Taylor, to go on that streak and make the playoffs under Gibbs.
