If we really want to dive into why we were 3-13 last year we can, but we've spent months doing it.

You and I, and everyone else here, know that there was a lot going into it and just stating the team was 3-13 is a bit of a skewed way of describing the team.

You're right - there's not a whole lot of difference. Except our O-line looks to be at least half way retooled, and we've got at least 1 new WR and possibly 2 - our top 3 will look different. And we brought in a new D line guy and beefed up our special teams.

And we haven't even drafted yet.

Plus new offensive scheme, healthy quarterback, and apparently a new defensive scheme.

And if I had a nickle for every time teams were predicted to run away with the division and didn't... well I'd have even more time to spend here. :)
 
It's important to remember that nearly every team in the league has a reason for optimism at this time of year. The Skins are hardly unique.
 
I don't know Neo. The feeling I have imagining we're gonna sign Fraction Jackson is nauseating.

Borderline depressing.
 
I said 7-9 but if you add Jackson, Clark and a starting OL at #34 overall, this team could be better than anticipated.

The Eagles finished 10-6 but does anyone really expect Foles to throw 25 TDs against only 2 interceptions again?

Cooper and Maclin don't have the speed to bust double coverage.

I agree the Giants will be better.

They finally have a #1 corner for the first time in forever and have rebuilt their OL.
 
We lack the speed dimension on offense. Like NE the Redskins have to drive the field to score because there are precious few 40-50 yard plays being made.

Our only speed guy, Robinson, has suspect hands as we saw in the Detroit game.
 
I'm starting to hope that we sign him just to experience some of the conniption fits that will break out here.
 
Yeah. I will support the team no matter what they decide. I just hope to God they decide against DJax. But once he's on the team, he's ours.

It seems that Jordan Reed has a new, hyphenated, last name.

In a couple of articles discussing the Redskins offensive skill position players, I've seen him referred to as Jordan Reed-Ifhecanstayhealthy.

Good luck fitting that on the back of a jersey.
 
Rare that the incoming coach has worked with so many of the holdover guys before.

There is greater continuity here than many people may think.

Yea, I originally mis-typed and wrote, "so much of HIS staff", but what I meant, and corrected it to, was "so much of the previous staff"
