Griffin had a spot in the latest gator aid commercial, though it may have been from an old video. Not sure.
 
I'm guessing this is the first off season without all the Media hype and bluster for Griffin in a few years. I know he could use it as well as the team and us fans.
 
griffin will excel this season - count on it! :)

if we can find build a line that is better at pass pro and if Gruden instructs RG how to use the pocket more intelligently. all achievable.

we have a great QB. who has some areas he can improve in. I, for no reason at all other than Gruden and RG's drive for excellence, expect to see a big leap forward this season.
 
I recall a week or two after they hired Gruden there was a discussion about he and Griffin not being allowed to talk to each other until a certain date? Has that date passed yet?
 
The difference for Gruden is that he is the final word on Griffin playing and how. Last year, you had Kyle and Robert talking and doing one thing and evidently Mike coming in and 'suggesting' changes and overruling other things that were on the table.

You can't run a team that way, you need clear lines of communication.

When Warren Buffett was once asked why his diverse businesses were so successful, he said he hired the right people and then got out of the way to let them work :)
 
Good news from cooley!

He's been running routes for Griffin as practice. Clue said watching him run around he looks like the guy that walked in the building first day of 2012.

Griffin ran some routes for cooley and he said he's back to being ridiculously fast.

Yay!
 
@Rich_TandlerCSN: #Redskins maybe were in line for a 6th or 7th rd. comp. pick after Lorenzo Alexander left. But signing Biggers cancelled out his departure.
 
Shame too because Biggers was awful. And now it looks like we are going to resign him per Keim.

I don't know about bringing back the entire secondary from 2013 save Josh Wilson. He wasn't the only disappointment.

Meriweather and Biggers are questionable signings to me.

Club officials simply couldn't strike deals they considered reasonable, Zorn said, and now the team will look to the NFL draft to address a list of needs that includes a safety, defensive lineman and wide receiver and depth on the offensive line.

Not much has changed in 5 years from a needs perspective (or did we go full circle?). And we now have a real GM which feels better but still the irony is amazing.

I just found this, and learned something new:

League rules have prevented Gruden from discussing the play book with quarterback Robert Griffin III. The rules also have prohibited him from even coaching Griffin on technique. That will change once the offseason program begins in two weeks. (Washington and other teams with new coaches get a two-week head start on the rest of the league’s teams, whose offseason program begins April 21).
 
I am sure that Gruden, unlike Spurrier and Zorn, will be able to put together an NFL playbook and come to camp organized enough to know the offense and defense run on different practice fields.

Zorn copying Walsh's 1981 playbook and Spurrier having 10 or 11 plays he wanted to run.........

Come on. You're telling me that you didn't enjoy Zorn's elaborate 2 TE sets that Fred Davis was drafted specifically for?
