That is why I have a direct link to the forum in my saved favorites. I can visit both with one click. I'll be punching the direct route to the forum for a few months.

Not worried about him so much. He was leaving us through FA the following year regardless. Just frsutrating seeing a 3rd round pick of ours start for another team.
 
I saw Graham Gano has had a good year too. Not a shock, he was coming into his own with us, it was a matter of time.

On the breakdown of Snyder's tenure by SkinsFTW...Norv Turner was our best coach? Say what? Try arguably the worst and IMO the true originator of the club med, slacker mentality that permeated the very walls of Redskins park. The damage he did is still being felt with this team 15 years later. Lots of room for Snyder to be grilled, but that's pure revisionist history. The team was a mess long before Snyder got here, John Kent Cooke was a spoon fed rich boy who had already proven he didn't have the stones to run this team. There was a reason his dad didn't will the team to him and it wasn't because he was a stellar manager/CEO.
 
Chris Clemons, Graham Gano, Champ Bailey, Nick Novak (until Sunday), Chad Rhinehart, all former Redskins in the playoffs.

I can't believe we gave up on Clemons...dude was a force.
 
That's the benefit of being a well run team. You can take other people's castaways and make something out of them due to the situation you put them in and the people around them.
 
Yeah, kind of like we've done in the past, with Sonny, Billy, Riggins, JoeyT, Doug Williams, etc...

We'll get back there.

The actual record of Norv Turner during Snyders first 2 years of ownership compared to every single coach Snyder actually hired is revisionist history?

Maybe look it up next time. Norv had a winning record no Snyder hired coach has.

1999 10-6
2000 7-6

and won a playoff game. Yeah Norv sucks, but that just further proves how pathetic it's been since Snyder bought the team and turned it into his new marketing firm, and you guys are still drinking the same old Koolaid not only believing it's a fresh beverage but insisting that I happily partake as well. :chug3:
 
On the other hand both Jeremy Trueblood and Tony Pashos were picked up by teams this season after being dumped by Washington and were bums elsewhere as well.

The problem here has not been letting go of prime players but of not bringing enough of them in the door to start with.
 
And consider the Giants lost 38-0 to Carolina and Dallas lost 49-17 to the Saints.

This was not exactly an up year for the NFC East.

If Norv's tenure consisted of 2 years maybe your point would wash, but sadly for our team it didn't.

Norv took one of the most talented teams in Redskins history and was able to get them to choke and lose games they had in hand time and time and time again. His teams were notoriously soft in a way only a Spurrier team could rival. Spurrier the guy who didn't even know his own player's names is another guy you're defending.,..unreal.

Yea it's revisionist history to call Norv's tenure anything but an epic letdown and failure given the talent on his team's vs' the talent on say Shanahan's or Gibbs' -who only coached his team through a team leader's freakin murder and made the playoffs two years and actually winning a game with teams that were nowhere near as talented as the Norv teams were.

But yea you're right I'm so drinking the Kool Aid...yawn. That's just a weak and tired response to anyone who doesn't join the hate parade. It's lazy and in my case just wrong. I'm one of the people who is unhappy about the current state and at best am skeptical of Jay Gruden's hire especially given the fact that Haslett and Morris are anywhere near Redskins park.

Whoa...which one of Norv's teams was one of the most talented in Redskins' history?
 
You just can't win on social media. If I were in one of these guys positions I'd never type anything on there.
