Even Al Michaels and Chris Collinsworthless were livid over it. I have heard it said that regardless of their opinion on things, they are told to keep it tame and unbiased and not let their emotions get involved. So I was glad that it was so blatantly ****ed up that they both repeatedly said the refs screwed up, it was crap, they blew it big time, I can't believe they screwed up so blatantly, etc. At least we won't have to hear the "quit blaming the refs" bs we usually have to put up with, because that shit right there changed the entire game.

Then the NFL network's take on it was as ridiculous as expected. Deion and Irvin cackling, acting obnoxious, hooting and hollering, while the other two sat there trying to get them to shut the **** up and act like professionals for 5 minutes so they could do their jobs.

Mike Shanahan said he asked an official if it was a first down, was told it was, and then went back to that official when it wasn't.

Referee Jeff Triplette told a pool reporter that the "stakes just got moved incorrectly" on that final drive/first down/third down play.

Refs didn't blow a 14 point lead.

Refs didn't get away from what was working in the first half.

Refs didn't drop 47 passes, some of which on critical 3rd down plays.

Refs didn't run bad routes and cough up the ball.

Refs didn't completely fudge up a routine long snap and get a penalty on the same GD play, creating a net punt of zero yards.

No they didn't. Like I said wed have lost anyway. Dont need the sharp stick in the eye from the refs during a season like this though. Especially when we're playing the team that already gets enough gifts from the league every year.

Make no mistake, I save most of my ire for the Redskins these days, but what the refs just did was extremely ****ty.

Yes, that call was kicking a team when it was down. The refs didn't have to get in the Redskins way tonight, they would have done it themselves. But I guess they really wanted to be a part of it as well.

I also think griffin looked really good (respective to the rest of this season) for the whole game for the first time this year. O line played well enough, he had enough time.

Give me a break. Another late season division game, another LARGE contingent of Rival fans at our too big corporate stadium. Nothing, and I mean nothing was worse than sitting in the lowers with 20k Giants fans a few years ago when they blew us out on/near xmas eve. Same story.

"getting away from what was working" is what we call getting your ass handed to in the second half. Orakpo had more sacks against a division rival QB than well.... ever. IN THE FIRST HALF. Our offensive line played decent, IN THE FIRST HALF. Small guys tiring out and cashing it in after some decent play. Repeat.

In the second half our pass rush all but disappeared.... our pass blocking went to shit. Not on the coaches. The timeouts, bad clock management is on them..... Bad challenge and running no huddle with 13min left is cool, but NOT running it at the end of the game? And, ANOTHER dead end play with no time on the clock at the end of the first half? How many 15 yarders did we give up this week? Lots to complain about in this game and the refs are only a very small fraction of it.

How many times are we gonna see a delay of game or timeout followed up by a delay of game or a timeout? How many is cool? Cause I'm so waaaaaaaay past my limit.

The once thing I feared about an AFC coach coming to DC was becoming soft. We've hit it, we're the softest team in the NFCE. We don't punch back, ever. We throw a couple jabs, but for the most part we play defensively and get our asses beat in the trenches, other teams feel this and get chippy, our players get flagged, rinse, repeat.

I saw Bob reading progressions WHEN HE HAD TIME. I saw enough from him when they protected him to be happy with the offensive performance and hopeful yet again for the future. But in this league you got to go 60 minutes and we're like a 29 minute team because the coaching staff will always find a way to waste a minute at the end of the half or game.

I like that sleepy got benched for a while after pulling a sleepy false start. Shoot me.
