Yeah my hatred for him is in hibernation since he's no longer calling the shots.

I know he hasn't actually changed though, so the hatred isn't gone. I'm sure at some point he'll be back to his old ways.

RG3 very well may be the greatest rookie of all time. Randy Moss is close...but defenses are now obsessed with stopping what RG3 can do i.e. he's a total game changer.

NFL forming an Oversight Committee to police field conditions. NFLN talking head makes it seem like Roberts injury was due to our field conditions and that the NFL is going to look over our shoulders and may force us to install an artificial surface if we can't keep it in shape.

On a related note, I met some field turf employees at lunch the other day. Local universities and high schools keep them very busy. They were adamant that the Redskins need to switch to their product and that it was a crime to watch the conditions in the playoffs.
 
on pitch conditions I watched a programme once about pitch conditions in sport. It was when they were building the new Wembly stadium.

I think the design of FEDEX is one of the problems, It does not allow for good air circulation at ground level which is needed to promote root growth.

NFL's off-season drug testing at my grandma's town-home! I'm all for a clean game but weird having a stranger watch u in your own bathroom
 
Not really Fear - I'm sure that's standard SOP. I mean, the only reason random drug testing works is, well, because it's unannounced. Small price to pay to keep the game at least reasonably clean.

I can't stand that. I have probably used the term myself - so please don't search for it and embarass me. Redskins Nation? We ain't the Ray-duhs people.
 
At this point, sign Winfield for two years and possibly ej biggers, and just hope Carriker and Rak stay healthy. Consistent pass rush will make any secondary look better. Looks like the cap penalty isn't going anywhere, so they just have to make do and pray AJ Smith works his magic in the draft.

It's one of those sports things that will forever irk me. Along with "the friendly confines" of (enter stadium name), and saying someone leaves everything on the field.

I'm not really sure what the point of that is Goal. No professional sport will ever be 'clean' (no matter how you define it). My definition would be a pretty loose one, but would mean that most of the time, players using banned substances get caught. It would also mean that no team could gain a substantial competitive advantage because a significant % of their players were using PEDs.

Complaining about unannounced testing - when that's what both the players union and the league agreed to - and when it's one of the most effective techniques for catching guys who cheat, it doesn't make sense.

It's a urine sample. If that's traumatizing, well, you haven't experienced real trauma. Pretty silly argument - and I include myself in that.

I wasn't complaining about the testing at all. The more testing the better as dar as I'm concerned. As for the rest, the NFL is pretty dirty, imo. I have a feeling that if real drug tests were administered, we would all be pretty shocked.

...and that's just the list of banned substances. HGH? I'd love to see test results if they tested for that.
 
I agree with the un-announced testing, that's how the military does it and many are caught that way. Basically when we're notified we have to report immediately to the test center. Sometimes i've went years without it and sometimes it's several times a month.

I always wondered how much of a heads up these players get beforehand tho.

Looked to me more like he was trying to throw beer on her and maybe the bottle came out of his hand. To me, didn't look like he was hauling off to hit her with it. Sad that we have to debate this kind of stuff regardless.

yes...but

the military doesn't come into YOUR home to test you. gets done in official facilities with minimum hands on in the custody chain.

this incident is absurd and somewhere along the line an invasion of privacy.
