I'm sorry brotha and I say this with respect but that's complete nonsense. I can recognize the ego and corruption and lack of consistency at play with Goodell but still be happy that a team who has shown that they are systematic cheaters and incredibly poor sports finally gets busted.
And like I said before McD's entire line of argument with the posting of that biased article is a huge flaming copout. If you don't want to get busted for cheating then don't. If you do then don't complain and claim "yea but other teams did THIS or other teams did THAT". That's a textbook weak sauce argument. Right is right and wrong is wrong, it's not mitigated by how many people are doing wrong. It's still wrong and worthy of punishment. I also don't get the whole "You're wrong if you think..." take. Not many people I've talked to about this think everyone else is squeaky clean across the board. Most just recognize the Patriots have taken it to a new level and are long overdue to be smacked for it. Their smugness only reinforces that feeling. But being naiive enough to think everyone else plays fair and never pushes boundaries? Please.
Oh and with regards to Goodell...I don't have to think he's a do gooder all of sudden to think t's high time that teams like the Patrios start getting some come uppance after the bullcrap Cap penalty we were given for breaking no rules whatsoever. Basically screw the rest of the league, all bets are off.
