Random Commanders Thoughts

It seems as if the leaks have ended at Redskins Park. In fact, they ended a couple of months ago.

I have no knowledge ...Haslett... of who could've ...Haslett... been behind this unfortunate ...Haslett... set of circumstances. Those leaks ...Haslett... lasted for several years ...Haslett... and was damaging to the team.

I'm not here to accuse anyone ...Haslett... or point the finger ...Haslett... at any particular individual.

Just glad to see that it is no longer an issue.

Don't forget about Ryan Grant - I will be surprised if he doesn't get a serious look in camp. But yeah? I think one of our first 5 picks will be a WR. Won't be surprised if we go WR at #5 as I've mentioned before if they think Cooper or White are special and either is available there.
 
I think it's time to let the old whipping boys rest in peace? Whether they earned the whippings or not.

What about the leaks before he got here? We had had leaks since Gibbs 2
 
BBQ could feature a WR this week in the latest mock. Maybe. Possibly. Coming Thursday.

We have the cap room for them so no reason to cut one yet i do see this as garçon last year if he has another down year
and I wouldn't be surprised if they extended wiilliams for about 3 years to lower his cap number
 
It makes sense to draft and develop a WR this year as it is possible both Garcon and Jackson could be gone in 2016.

Grant runs good routes but he lacks speed. Unless he is Henry Ellard/ Art Monk great at running routes down the line he looks like a third receiver to me.
 
Greg Hardy is getting a lot of media right now....he has had off field issues but has he learned his lesson?

is he a 3-4 machine?
 
Hardy is supposedly in talks with Dallas.

The problem is Goodell may still suspend him or keep him on that exempt list.

No one knows if he will be available to play.
 
Its probably no surprise to many here that I found tons of laughter and joy in Jason Reid's new radio show getting yanked at the 11th hour on am980 by Dan Snyder. Now it seems that Bruce Allen is taking partial blame but hey this is a note to all future wannabe ESPN celebrities....

PISS ON YOUR LOCAL TEAM OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN and we will do everything we can to prevent you from becoming a celebrity for it. What was Reid thinking? He quit working at the Post to work for Dan Snyder owned radio station? After making his beat writers job covering the REDSKINS into a personal vendetta over and over. Throwing daggers at the owners and the management of the team for years inciting riotous, frothy mouth fans against the team for his entire tenure.

Jason Reid is not just the latest, but actually the snarkiest, smuggest pit viper in the DC media these days. No doubt this will cause him to fall back on hate tweets and such wherever he may land next but for now I still laugh at his ass. Local media shouldn't be all Larry Michael all the time, but to personally attack our team over and over and over again is poor form at best. Good for you, you got what you deserved.

depends on the criteria adopted for depriving someone of the income that sustains their families.

also dangerous in the bigger picture: "we don't like what you have said/printed in the past....so we're gonna deprive you of the opportunity to earn a living in your profession."

I get where you are coming from - I harbor similar feelings about a lot mediots: wise and olberman to name a few. nevertheless...it's a very shaky path to walk down.
 
Don't expect to work for the people you vilify. Pretty simple and not such a downward spiraling conspiracy in my mind.
 
I'll admit that I had found the notion of Reid, of all people, being the guy who was going to get a gig on the Skins radio affiliate. I had the same reaction I might have had it been Sally Jenkins. All I could figure is they wanted to boost ratings by turning afternoon drive hour into even more of a yell-fest for armchair GM's to call in to than it already is ...

Curious to see where it ends up going.
