Random Commanders Thoughts

I agree, and actually misread Mikes post.... Sorry Mike.

To me, the med staff or Dr Andrews can say no, but it ultimately comes down to the coach to make the call. With Robert, it's been told many times that Robert insisted he was able to go, and talked Shanny into it. With Colt, odds are that the initial injury wasn't a herniated disc in his neck, but a sprain as they said, but weakening it. The hit the following week finished him off, allowing the disc to bulge. Gruden has to go on what he sees in practice, and what the med staff tells him, and make a decision. You just can't simulate the hits in a game on the practice field, so it's a crap shoot. Me, any player with a neck injury gets at least an extra week out just to make sure after cleared to play. Maybe Gruden, out of desperation says what the hell, he's been cleared, and he says he's good to go.

So, is the problem two different coaches just making dumb ass calls with injured players, or is it a product of the organization itself ?

It's gotta be organizational. The coaches are listening to trainers/doctors. If they say he's good, they're listening to that. Gruden has NO idea how to read an MRI, and nor should he. Are the med pro's being overruled by ownership? Anyones guess.. but if the coaches are trying to evaluate medical film... then we're more doomed then I had thought.

Hoping for a hard fought game by our squad. Would like a win but would settle for a solid performance.

Kerrigan 2 sacks
DeSean 110 yards and td
Alfred 130 2 td's
Bob throws 300+ w/4 td's

Book it!

That's 6 TDs you got slated there. That would be more than just a "solid" performance. :)

Tired of the mediots making a big deal of Robert getting up slowly after a hit like he doesn't want to play. He's been doing that since he entered the league. It's nothing new.

Swear they could murder one of our players at the 50 and somehow we'd have a phantom illegal contact or something

Can we snatch defeat frm the jaws of victory? We'll soon know.

What the FO needs to do is to hire a DC that has NFI on how to coach defence, and sign players who just stand and allw opposition WR's and TE's to get yardage by the bucket loads. Wait, what do you mean we already have that!

I'm extremely happy about the win but why the HELL did Williams go back out there tonight?

More the player I believe

Keim
The smile on Trent Williams’ face hid the pain stemming from his right shoulder. Williams thought his day was done when he exited early in the fourth quarter because of the shoulder injury. But Williams later returned against the initial wishes of offensive line coach Chris Foerster. “To see the looks on their faces, to beat a division [rival], it was worth it,” Williams said

The exact reason I wanted to see them win & not lose out for a high Draft pick. The fight in him. He wasn't done in his heart & he wanted to keepo on fighting, knowing the season is over after next week & can rehab in the offseason, he wanted to have the satisfaction of being on the field for the win!

That was EXACTLY what we NEEDED to see from them tonight! Fight. They haven't given up, they haven't rolled over. They have nothing to lose. So win. I am excited to see them still fighting, regardless of their record. I love it.

HTTR Beat Dallas!

3 roughing the passer calls against the Iggles today....why are so many players allowed to just tee off on our QB?

I LOLed when the annoucencer said Robert drew those types of penalties. They are either penalties or not.

that is a lack of control on behalf of the defensive players. just because he is good at a hard count doesn't man that Peyton needs to change.

But them just hitting our QB and lighting him up is BS. not just 1 but 3 of them this game is outrageous.

Luckily they weren't big hits or anything. Two of them were hand hits to helmet, as I recall. Not hard, but hard enough to draw the flag.

The fact that they actually threw the flags for each of them is what amazed me. Usually, it seems like they ignore those types of hits & act like it didn't happen or it wasn't severe enough to call the penalty.
