I know a lot of you guys don't think much of BRob, but there are still people around the league who believe with the right usage he could be better.
Personally, last year was his best usage in his pro career, but that wasn't saying much. He had really bad playcalling and coaching in past years - Scott told him to lose a bunch of weight and he did exactly that, and he has kept it off from my eyes (haven't checked his weight Y2Y); it changed what worked for him.

Anyway, regardless, this is an interesting article with potential suitors. BRob has some better tape than you all think, although yes, it will be a mixed bag.

4 teams seems like a lot that would be interested in BRob. IMO Chicago Houston and maybe Dallas. Market is thin and I expect no bites, camp injuries aside.

I wonder if there isn't more to the story. Pure speculation but off the field stuff. It's not that long ago that we cut CRod... yet he has surpassed BRob from just the offseason... with the same coaches that makes me wonder what happened this off season.

The author of that SI article is off to a bad start with this falsehood:

Jayden was our leading rusher by a good margin, and that’s the problem, we need a running back capable of getting more than 700 yards per season.

It was reported last year that CRod had a poor offseason with the new staff. This offseason has been reported as being positive for him. So idk what all those differences entail but it seems they’re in a different place with CRod now than they were 12 months ago, and it has to be his own work that changed their minds

Robinson has been effective, just not 'special.'

I'm not guaranteeing a trade, but i also don't think the chances are a '0' either.

I think with B-Rob it was more about him not really separating himself from the existing committee of RB's currently on the roster that made him expendable because he was the one RB with enough NFL experience and reps that would allow the FO to flip him for something. On the 49ers he will likely fit into his role well as long as CMC is healthy and allow B-Rob to be the change of pace RB.

Released means the player becomes an immediate FA. Waived means they must go through waivers where teams can claim them before becoming a FA. If the player has less than 4 years in the league, I believe they must go through the waiver wire first.

It's well known that KK's offenses get figured out, there is no doubt in my mind that teams will take away the play where Jayden converts a 4th and 2 by simply outrunning one defender to the edge. How will the Commanders counter, that's the real question as we start the season.

I don't agree with this at all. During Kingsbury's 4 seasons in Arizona, the offense got better every single season. The last season things collapsed, but I think that had a lot more to do with Kyler Murray getting hurt, and half the WRs being injured than DCs 'figuring out' Kingsbury's offense.

On your overall point - that defenses now have tape on JD and that may help them be able to shut him down more effectively, sure, that's possible. But it's also possible that with his level of talent and athleticism, no amount of 'scheming' will be able to make him ineffective. We see that with other elite talents like Lamar Jackson and Mahomes. And I suspect Jayden is even better in 2025 than he was last season, will have better protection, and has better weapons around him.
