Random Commanders Thoughts

Very good interview of Washington TE Coach David Raih by JP. An impressive young member of the coaching staff and one that we never really have the opportunity to hear from. Starts at the 14:25 mark.

Great story. Truly. But…wait until PSLs kick in for the new stadium.
That is a great story and I believe new ownership actually cares. For them to not do PSL’s would be the grandest gesture they could ever make. I’m not sure in the days of multi billion dollar stadiums if this is even feasible. I expect them to happen.

Does any stadium newer than Landover NOT have PSLs? I even think Carolina's, which I think opened a year before ours, has them.

According to Wikipedia, 20 of the 32 teams have a form of PSLs. The Bills will be the 21st starting in 2026 when their new stadium opens. I also saw that all stadiums since 2009 have them. The reality is that the new stadium will have a PSL.

As a STH for many many years in Section 414 this would be the greatest gift possible for me and my family… I understand the ST would be a huge pricing hike but the PSL’s would be out of my reach imho

It seems the team repaired whatever the issue was earlier in the season with the Leno family. She was outspoken about some sort of mistreatment (not from anyone high up, she specified it was an employee or something). I’m not sure why but they attend our games a lot still, must have settled in the area permanently before he retired and now we’re their home team. Either way, good to know they made it right, even if Leno isn’t an “important” alumni it still matters.

Watching the Detroit vs Vikings game.

If we played a clean, god game and either team played the way they are playing tonight, we could or would win.

The two best teams in the NFL are not playing well at all.

You posted this before the 4th quarter.

The Commanders are good, but Detroit is a machine. I dont see anybody beating them before the SB.

I wonder if there's a way to get our running game back this season. Kingsbury has almost entirely given up on it. I can see why, but we were better when we were balanced.

Ekeler is back, that should provide a boost. Really looks, to me anyway, that B Rob is not fully fit. He hasn’t been running in his usual angry style.

Is it just me, or do we roll out Marcus more than Jayden. Seems Jayden is under center or shotgun, but doesn't roll often, and the second you put in Marcus we see roll outs.

I was sitting here thinking...

The last time we were in the Playoffs, we had The Legend of Taylor Heinicke pylon dive. It just so happens that The WFT played TB pretty tough and maybe could have also beat the Saints in the next round if they had gotten passed the Bucs.

If they had caught lightening and had one or more playoff wins that year would Dan have sold the team? Would we still be doing the RR experiment? Would the Pats be building another dynasty with Jayden at the helm right now as we sat here and talked about yet another off season picking somewhere in the middle of the draft yet again...

I shudder just thinking about it.
