Doc Walker made a good point after the Giants game that some of the starters are simply not competitive on the field and we are simply marking time with them.

But with the coach insecure about his job he isn't going to juggle his lineup and let any of the younger players get a chance over the last month, he is going to continue to go with his Chesters and Lichtensteigers in the forlorn hope that the team somehow will win 2 or 3 of these games and provide a rationale for his return in 2014.

One of the real indictments of Shanahan the GM and HC is that he surrounded himself with a collection of anonymous assistant coaches. Not one of these guys is legit HC material for a team looking in the offseason for a new coach, and so by the same argument there is little choice but to let Shanahan finish out the season here.

At least in Houston they have Phillips as a qualified interim coach until they get to the offseason.

A group of friends all bought tickets to the game tomorrow, and just told me this morning they're not going. trying to sell their tickets.

it's going to be cold and bad weather.

i told them they're all ****ing sissies and obviously not real football fans. i think i convinced one to let me pick him up on the way and take him to the game.

it's one thing to not want to go to the games, it's another to buy the tickets and then say you're not going because it's going to be cold with some snow/ice. that's the kind of crap i hate about the fans in this area. a lot of them are literally 'fair weather' fans ;)
 
Would it be totally out of the question to have Reed gain as much mass as possible and play ilb next year? He's probably the most solid tackler on D IMHO.

How about we do what Gibbs did?

Find guys like Stephen Hobbs, Greg Manusky and returners like Mike Nelms to play and excel on special teams while we ALSO find capable starters for the first 22 roster spots?

Again, just a thought.
 
I think we stand a good chance to win today because of the weather. Well if dip shit Kyle runs the ball I mean....

We could start hot, firing on all cylinders and still end up losing again. At least the weather throws a wrench into it possibly giving us a better shot.

Then again, can you imagine our sloppy Special Teams in bad weather? LOL
 
My wife and I put more effort into packing our car to come out here than the team has in playing football
