I met Tre at the Wildwood Shopping Center one summer after he had retired. He seemed happy - he was with 3 small kids and was ordering them ice cream.

You couldn’t miss a guy 330 pounds with those shoulders.

RIP burgundy and gold.

This is a great example of how cursed the franchise was with Dan. Nothing ever worked out in the best way.

Dude knocked me on my ass at Dulles Town Center. We were both walking and neither way paying attention to where we were going and walked right into each other.

He stayed upright and I did not.

He was so nice though. Helped me up and made sure I was ok. Apologized profusely.

Just saw this highlight the other day. There is a clip of Tre Johnson pulling to free Stephen Davis for a touchdown. People remember that ejection, but I always saw it as him protecting Brad Johnson.



That 1999 team had guts, and Tre was a big part of it. I think that was his Pro Bowl year.

He was a good player, and I saw he stayed in the DMV community teaching history, which is cool.

I remember his interview in early 2000, after the brawl when we beat Detroit in the playoffs (again). I forget the question, but he said abut the fight: "Look, I'd rather be pimpin' than limpin'"
