I applaud him greatly but I would not hold it against him one bit if he decided to take a step back out of the spotlight. Still be focused on the team (because we all know he's not going to take a step back completely) but maybe have some serious thoughts about naming Kyle Smith t GM and allowing him to take more of the personnel stuff of Rivera's plate. Let Turner / Del Rio handle the interviews and stuff. Be in the building and a part of the process but don't worry about he media responsibilities.
I have wondered the same thing but I think he's got a bit of a martyr personality - not in a bad way - he's just not going to put himself first until he's literally forced to.
