Possibly saving Cousins for trade?

I was hoping to see Vinny in a casting call... :fat:

Cousins will always be trade bait...That doesn't mean we don't keep him though...but for the right price?

Not if you've been in contact with another team and you dont want them to get hurt... Mallett is sitting out too, and all the buzz is that NE is posturing to trade him.

That is a possibility.
Another possible reason they're so heavily concerned with keeping Cousins' healthy, is because RG3's scrambling/sliding habits have the staff pullling their hair out worried like crazy that a soon-to-be injury to RG3 will mean Cousins' will be needed on the Redskins' offense soon.

We could get more for Griffin.

Honestly, I dont think so. He has too much "baggage" and "questions" that I think Cousins would seem like a better valued pick.

Yeah, Redskins are in an ideal situation. They like him and have just enough questions about RGIII that they aren't desperate to get rid of Cousins. So they can hold him and demand a high price. If they don't get what they want, then they just keep him since he does fit a need.

I still say the worst thing that happened last year was Cousins playing those last 3 games. He wasn't good and he went from Matt Flynn on the Packers, to just another backup QB.

I thought it showed that regardless who played QB the coaching staff had lost the team...it didn't confirm or deny anything from our qb position though...

Actually, for a quite a while now, it has not been a compliment to be compared to Matt Flynn - just the opposite now, in fact

That's why I qualified it as his time with the Packers. He was quite legend in that offense, mostly based on one outstanding game.
