The Redskins make the playoffs if:

1. If the Redskins beat Philly this Saturday night, they clinch the division and advance to the playoffs. No other games matter.

2. If the Redskins lose to Philly Saturday night, they still win the division with a win against Dallas, but would also need the Giants to beat Philly in the final week of the season.

The Giants make the playoffs if:

1. They win out the rest of the season, and the Redskins lose out the rest of the season. That's the only way they can make the playoffs.

The Eagles make the playoffs if:

1. They win out the rest of the season against both Washington and the Giants.

2. They beat the Redskins on Saturday, but lose to the Giants in week 17. In order to still make the playoffs, Philly would also need the Giants to lose this week against Minnesota, AND for the Redskins to lose out against Dallas.

And this is how Dallas will experience the playoffs.

The Redskins make the playoffs if:

They beat Dallas next week, or
They lose to Dallas next week.

The end. :)

So, if the Vikings beat the Packers, then the Packers will be our opponent in the first round
If the Pack wins and Seattle win, then we play Seattle.
If the Pack wins and Seattle loses or ties, we play Minnesota.
We also play Minnesota if the Pack ties.

Is that correct Spear? All I know is we play the 5th seed. I thought it was Seattle most likely projected. But I don't know.

Yes, we play the 5th seed, but 3 teams are potential suitors for that spot : GB, MN, and SEA.
It hinges greatly on who wins the NFC North, because whoever does not win that division will be a wild card, and then become the 5th or 6th seed, depending on what Seattle does.

They flexed the GB-MN game to Sunday Night, so we actually won't know our opponent, until almost midnite Sunday

But it will be noarroed down to those 2 if Seattle loses to AZ. Which I will love to see.

Seattle is the favorite to stumble into the NFC playoffs on a two game losing streak. They get the Cards who have a shot at winning the home field advantage award and I doubt they want the Rams to be the only team to beat the Squawks twice this season. The Panthers get the Buc's and GB gets Minnesota. With the way the Packers have been playing they seem the most likely to be landing at Dulles. But whoever it is, they still are coming to DC and I don't care which one it is.

IF Seahawks hold on to 24 point lead, basically comes down to this: if Green Bay wins, skins play Seattle. If Minn wins, skins play GB.

If it was my choice I would prefer Green Bay. So, let's go Vikings!!

As long as they don't get Jordy Nelson to return for the playoffs

He's on IR, isn't he?

I thought he was done until next year.

No way I want to play the Seahawks. Go Minny.

Bakahatari (LT) & Sam Shields (S) are both out. GB hasn't done much offensively since Bakahatari went down. And Jordy Nelson isn't coming back this year.

Linval Joseph (DT) is out for the Vikes. That's a pretty big hit for them in getting after Rodgers.

GB has a good pass rush. Against the run - they rank about where the Skins are. Enough said about GB vs AP.

Still a tough call but I think Minny wins this one. Then they get the Seahawks at home.

Nobody wants to play Seattle but I don't get the logic. Is it really any better to get knocked out in the first round than any other one? Or are fans hoping that some other team will knockout the 'hawks? And if noone does - you still gotta play them sooner or later anyway if you get that far. I'd rather face Seattle now without Lynch then later with him. It's the worst matchup for Washington but they'll get them at home.

Bring whatever team. Beat that team. If they lose in the first and don't get embarrassed it's better than I had hoped for at the beginning of the season anyway.

Jordan Reed would absolutely go off against Seattle. All TEs do.

But I'm confident that we'll beat whatever team comes to DC next weekend.

I think it's going to be Seattle.
