Nope. Once you show you can't handle a petulant child, by acting like one yourself, you expose yourself to the whole locker room, as weak minded.I can see how that could make a HC snap.

Twitter is not real journalism no matter how much you push it, bro. Dianna has been called out now and many more will be as well.
Gruden came out and called Griffin the starter for 2015. so either he is a liar or he is a pawn and has no spine of his own.
Or once again this is all just drama and people are feeding in to it like a kardashian on a sex tape.
I agree with submittedone and so have some of the former players who have spoken out about this subject of how it was handled in the media. Robert wants to clamor for attention and defend himself on social media, Gruden did the same. I will take submittedone's argument one step further...I think Gruden was protecting himself in the media from Snyder and Allen pushing him to start Robert.
Al's insistence that Gruden is in over his head, may be true. But the way Robert was handled was not a problem for anyone but Robert and those who have a problem with that style of management. Fear can be a great motivator, I see nothing wrong with people fearing they may lose their position if they don't play hard/well enough. And I see nothing wrong with a coach dancing a tango in the media if he is getting hit from all sides to start a player who obviously is not worthy of starting.
The only thing I will disagree with, I do not think Robert played that well against the Giants and was only serviceable against the Eagles. It's a shame that a serviceable performance is perceived as a good performance based off the horrible performances that got him benched. I rue the day RG3 is gone for good!
Your word has a statute of limitations on when you can be held to it? Sorry, but that seems like bs to me. If you aren't sure what will happen come fall then don't say it. He had zero reason to say Griffin was the starter and it was actually a shock to everyone that he did it to begin with.
He needs to be integral with his word and say what he means or don't say anything. Being quiet gives up no secrets but telling someone they have the job tells a lot.
Saying that Griffin ended the season as the starter so, as of right now, were going into it with him, is saying nothing. He didn't come out and say that Griffin is the guy, and that he's the one who's the future of the franchise. It was a vanilla response. I don't care if he tells us the truth, as long as he's honest with the locker room. We need to get back to the type of franchise that makes decisions, regardless of the masses opinions. If he's lying to the front office, and the layers, that's a whole other conversation, but playing the PR game is a lot of what's wrong with the franchise as it sits right now.
"Robert ended the season as the starter," Gruden said. "We anticipate that going forward. We anticipate both of them coming in with a good frame of mind and eager to get better."
So Griffin's the guy, right?
"We'll going into the season with Robert as the No. 1 guy, obviously," Gruden said. "Then it's up to Robert to continue to grow and mature as a quarterback and a person. And moving forward just want to see some improvement. That's up to us as a staff to get more out of him."

If his rep shouldn't be questioned he shouldn't say things like that which could cause it to happen. It's integrity that's at lie here and not talent.Jay Gruden: RG3 is the starter, QB isn't working with Jon Gruden - CBSSports.com
He probably is the best of the 3, but that doesn't mean he's locked in to be on this team come September... and nothing there tells me it's a lock that he's here. I personally don't think it's beyond the idea that he's moved, and I don't think Gruden's rep should be brought into question (on this instance) if it does happen.
