I didn’t think tonight’s game mattered in any capacity. But it has to say something to get punked that terribly.

I’m feeling like it may have been a case of most of the team that suited up tonight knew the 41 that sat are making the team. Which left another 12 to make the team. Most of those playing probably thought I will get one more paycheck before the end, but I’m not killing myself tonight in a game that means nothing.

They sure played like that’s what they thought.

They sure played like that’s what they thought.

They aren't playing for just 12 spots on one team. They're playing to get signed by any of the other 31 teams out there, either for a spot on the active roster or for a practice squad spot. I can't say I watch other teams' preseason games to judge them well, but I have never heard of an entire roster of preseason players giving up not just their games but also their careers. I don't think Washington's players would do that either. They just sucked.
