Official 'It got blowed up what next?' Thread

Florio won’t let his ego get out of the way. Zero chance we are hiring BB.

I’m so psyched we are getting Drake Maye or Caleb Williams. If we get a defensive head coach I hope the Oc will have a few years for continuity with the qb.

Keeping the fingers crossed this GM search raps up fast. Too many teams looking for HC's... Seattle joins the list

If Harrison is sitting there at #2, you'd pass up on him ?

Yes sir. And Harrison looks like a sure thing Hall of Famer. These 2 qbs are so highly rated and give the new regime the true foundation it needs.

We had Terry McLaurin starting in 2019 and no one of note to throw him the ball for 3 plus years. How many games did we win?

Quarterback, then OT, then WR in the offseason.

If we get either of those write off the next 5 seasons they will both fail in the nfl

The top 2 in this draf are not going to be close to high first round picks - one is short, has no mental fortitude and is not a winner, the other cant handle pressure, doesnt know how to scramble and is a turnover machine

Also when you have a projecteal wr with the talent and skills and projected to be a allpro there and two potential allpro tackles you take those ahead of reaching for a qb

My advice is trade back to 4-7 and get another 2-3 early picks. At that range there will be one tackle available as well as the best te in the draft

I got faked out by sports radio. I entered the car and the hosts were saying, "Are you SUPER EXCITED!!!" and kept going on and on without naming why we should be super excited. Apparently, they wanted us to be super excited that there was a search going on and there was no news.

Bunch of bums! I was ready to be super excited.

I understand, but it's a crap shoot no matter where you pick, even with the# 1 or # 2 pick It happens all the time. We've had our fair share of high picks that didn't pan out. It's worse for QB's. How many are floating around the league that teams pinned their hopes on riding the pine ? I'd draft everything but QB this year. I'd actually trade back a bit in the first and pick up another pic or two. That's just me...

Definitely not a slam dunk. They never are. If our group loves a next tier qb and they are not 100 percent sold on cw or dm, then the #2 spot could rake in some serious draft capitol. It’s easy to love a bunch of players in this draft. MH jr. , Fashanu, Latu, Dallas Turner, Bowers, etc., but we are not at 3. We are at 2. The top two guys are projected stud QBs. If we were at 3, I would be all in for trading out.

Whatever our guys do, I trust they will have much better results than anything we have seen in the past 25 years.

If the team traded out of the #2 spot, spent additional draft picks on OL, TE, WR, CB and LB................

who would be throwing the ball? Is this a redux for Sam Howell or a trade for a veteran?

I just can't see Harris coming back from a 4-13 season and trotting Howell out there as the opening day starter.

If Washington passes on all of the quarterbacks and say a Daniels becomes an all pro the organization will never live it down.

For better or worse I think we are swinging for the fences and hoping to come up with CJ Stroud the Second.

It's funny how we tend to acknowledge that all of the expert opinions on which QBs will make it and which won't are unreliable and it's a total crapshoot drafting a QB. And then we talk about not wanting to draft a QB because none of these guys are difference makers :)
