Official Game Thread - Week 8 - MNF - Commanders @ Chiefs

Ummm, well thats a stupid rule.
What if thats exactly what they wanted was for the half to end so that they didn't have to punt the ball?

Yet another rule the nfl needs to revisit.

Can you imagine if a game ended that way, my god!

This is the NFC champ runner up who I thought would have definitely beat KC in the SB. Steal this game and the season turns. I have a feeling DQ and all of the leaders are going to be screaming crazy at the half about how important this is, how it's a season changer, and the time is now

It's early, but this feels as good as any game this season.

On the road, in KC????

LFG

It isn't required to accept the penalty. Many other problems too - they are risking injuries and fumbles - everyone just takes a knee to take time.

But you should be able to accept the penalty which is supposed to be down and distance and still have the clock stop.
Now if you can choose to not accept the 10 second runoff and we just chose to end the half then thats a totally different story but that isnt how they explained it.

He's just now catching up with Jahan Datsun with his 1st TD of the year tho.
If Jayden doesn't miss a wide open bomb in week one, and if he wasn't robbed by the ref against the raiders then he has 3. If he gets the bomb against NY and doesn't get hurt against the raiders, he probably ends up with a huge game and everyone is looking at him differently

Listened to some radio, heard a lot of guys pretty much saying that Quinn's promise of better D was just lip service and this and that - including on here as well. This first half featured a lot better D. It's not super hard to improve on what they were doing at least a bit. The most basic thing - put your players in a position to do what they are BEST at -- they were not doing that. I expect adjustments will be made by KC and the second half may look very different, but great first half for this maligned D!

Nice start.

Well, to add to this - and I am not a McLaurin apologist, I am just a realist 100% -
he had a great quote that I read about how he took another week, and there was a quote that was clearly an answer to a question, but the question wasn't there. Basically he said - he knows there is "data" and it shows "correlation" but he was basically saying he was confident and felt good going into the season, and for this injury he knew that in the big picture they needed him to sit one more week, he feels ready to be 100% and help the team win, and he felt otherwise he may have been unable to do that. He put it pretty well actually, and sounded really sincere.

As I have said before: Terry at negotiations, poor. Terry at oblong ball: great. That was a great TD, and we missed that.

Or not... I won't ever celebrate him like I used to. Money grubber.

Well, how 'bout that. Low scoring game and the defense hasn't completely imploded. Actually has 2 INTs.

The NFL is NFLing.

Quan come on man. You cannot do that man. Huge mistake that gives them unneeded life.

Don’t like the call, he didn’t really hit so much as hold his position and the ball was tipped, but yeah they’re going to call those nowadays.

They punish you when you lower the head in that situation. No pull-up. Yes it gets called a lot.

Any time you have a horrible penalty, it changes everything. Quan with the bone head play
