Official Game Thread - Week 7 - Commanders @ Cowboys

They got time to comeback still. Hope they dont

Beating Denver on the road isn’t easy.

i dont think it will be easy for this version of the team to beat NY on the road
As much as i dont want to im gonna go ahead and agree with you on this one because this version of this team couldn't beat the little sisters of faith auxiliary football club.

I'm not throwing out Quinn with the Whitt water. If Quinn is smart enough to can our DC, I think he should stay. He can inspire good talent, we just need good talent

I think it’s fair to feel that way, I’ve just always felt that Quinn in retrospect would be the first influence on Jayden’s career, not the main one. I said that the day he was hired (and I supported it). I could be wrong but I don’t think this staff (either coordinator and the HC) is our long term future. Doesn’t mean Quinn will be a total failure

Hey, those gals are scrappy

Amazing, this team drafts a franchise QB… and the obvious decision is to hire an offensive HC. Instead, it hires a defensive coach. A defensive coach with past success. And his defenses in his first 2 seasons here suck. Because of course.

At least we got culture.

Looks like the Giants likely pull it off with a comeback. Yuck
If it helps WAS get a better draft pick and a more favorable schedule next year, that's fine. This year is, how should I say it...not a championship season.

Edit: When it rains, it pours!

maybe. I'm not asking for a head coaching change yet...but I worry that DQ is too loyal and will do something about Whitt when it's too late.

Giants gonna giant. Lol

They would probably beat us tho

I'm guessing JD5 goes on IR so that Quinn doesn't have to talk about 20/20 hindsight in a few weeks.

I think it’s very possible that everything else aside with the interview process, Ben Johnson may have been an asshole who wasn’t (isn’t?) ready to be a HC (or cut out for it). But people would be lying to say that the situation of the hot coveted GM prospect pairing with the hot coveted offensive genius HC prospect and drafting a franchise QB wasn’t what we ALL thought was gonna happen. Of course it was. Pairing a young QB with an innovative play caller who can’t get hired away is the literal dream. Add a veteran DC with HC experience and you’re golden.

That didn’t happen (and again, Ben Johnson may suck or may not have ended up being a fit anyways—clearly he wasn’t, with our search committee) but it feels like some version of it SHOULD have, and that we’ll be treading water until it eventually does. Maybe that’s 2 years from now if things go really sour with Quinn and the D over time, maybe it’s closer to 5 years after we sign Daniels to a big extension. But it feels inevitable, which kinda sucks.
