Official Game Thread - Week 6 MNF - Bears @ Commanders

But Whitt will have to go, and how long will it take Quinn to admit that and pull the plug?

They could get rid of both of them and I am sure most of us wouldn't complain.

I am sure that somebody under McVay or Shanahan would be an upgrade for HC.

Dallas on a short week in Dallas.
Won’t be easy as they have a very good offense and our defense is well, our defense. Their defense is also meh but then this team can make other players and units look better and than they have in years.

I’d like to believe that we will be ready and play with an attitude. Hopefully will have Cosmi, Noah and Terry back.

The D cannot stop a cold. That's been virtually all season, no answers.
The offense with 3 turnovers and Jayden with 2 of those, one in the redzone.
Starting the game down 13.
Need competition at kicker like 2 weeks ago. So tired of buddy already, missing 4 kicks in 5 games.

We had no business winning this game.
This isn't last year, that is for damn sure.

I did to, he seemed more dejected than I have seen him also. The injuries have been a big part of the season so far but the lack of starter play in the pre-season, slow starts this season, penalties, sloppy play. They just have not been right all year. They can get right…but they can’t dig themselves a hole they can’t get out of and they have to win the games they should.

Quinn doesn't really deserve to be shit canned but....teams with a non offensive HC should have a elite defense, ours isn't even average.

We will be much better off over the next 10 years with JD at QB with an elite offensive HC and find your best DC like SF seems to be doing every year without a real franchise QB.

Watched Quinn’s press conference he came off sadder especially at the end than any conference of his that i can recall.

Part of me thinks this coaching staff and FO are shell shocked thet not only arent they taking a step up from last season but are worse

Good. They need to learn their lesson, AP included. This entire offseason had the whiff of putting the finishing touches on a true SB roster, rather than continuing to retool and rebuild. They really seemed to think they’d arrived because of the exciting run to the NFCCG. That was amazing, yes, but they need to be able to self-scout and admit that it’s still not a very good roster. That’s their job. They got high on their own supply.

The absolute worst thing they could take from this season so far would be a belief that it’s due to the injuries. That would be disastrous if they give themselves (and assistants like Whitt) a pass due to that.

can’t string two wins together. Have to hope they won’t allow two “L”s in a row either.

Next game is a must win if they have hopes for the post season.

When I saw the formation, my first thought was “why are they not under center”. A fumble there is still possible if you are under center, but that play felt off from the time they lined up.

They just didn’t get aggressive enough in FA - a lot of the “price is too high”

There were a lot of EDGEs, for example, who moved teams. In hindsight, how awesome would Joey Bosa be here? They could’ve easily gotten DeMarcus Lawrence had we gone multiple years with him here.

Also to skinsinparadise ’s point, they should’ve dropped Lattimore in the offseason and signed a corner actually worth the money like a DJ Reed who AP actually drafted

This roster just isn’t good enough to overcome a bad Jayden game. He threw 3 TD’s, had some great throws and scrambles, but lost the game on turnovers that should’ve been points. That’s just the reality, the D is criminally bad but it was still our game because when Jayden plays well, we can win more often than not. And when he makes mistakes, we can’t withstand them.

Roster needs to be purged again after this season. Old, slow, and lacking hunger in too many important spots. We need a whole alignment shift in terms of drive on the defensive side of the ball. Whitt talks a good game but we come out flat and lame constantly on D (and truthfully too often on O). Quinn has a lot to look at, but there’s a lot of games left to get things moving in the right direction.

All that big picture stuff is important for the future, but right now if Daniels isn’t elite, we lose. It’s that simple. This is a 5-win team without Daniels. Maybe. We aren’t there yet but he can elevate us when all goes well.

Jayden is right about focusing more because for most of the game the rain was a minimum but at the end, it was pouring. Jayden had to focus in then and know that the ball might be slicker
