In terms of fairly or evenly, I agree. In terms of calling them "freebies" - that I am not sure about. I think those were closer to PI than not, but my biggest problem was then when VERY similar play by their CBs was done, there was no flag. That was annoying. I agree those plays WERE game-changers and the game could truly be different without them (100%). The psychological effect on those PIs against our guys and the LACK of PIs against theirs - meaning, ours feel less inclined to do hand-fighting downfield, a little more tentative, vs their guys doing extra and staying aggressive... that's a big difference. You even saw it at the end where they FINALLY got called for PI, and Wiggins was shocked. There is, however, a little worrisome thought that if pass interference were called fairly or at least evenly we might have won the game.
I do think the Ravens are the better team, but those two freebies the Ravens got were game changers.
I totally got it. Why wouldn't he be shocked? The refs totally enabled that. I am not saying the Ravens were totally egregious, but they got away with a lot more. Tough to see as a Commanders fan rooting for an upset; when that stuff happens, the upset is nearly impossible because you are already battling uphill.
