Official Game Thread - Week 5 - Commanders @ Chargers

Limited sample size but Croskey-Merrit is the #1 rated PFF RB going into this game, in terms of efficiency. His pass protection issues are keeping him from taking over but every time he touches the ball it feels like something great can happen. He’ll slowly but surely take over this backfield and we’ll end up retroactively being glad that they didn’t overwork him early in the season while he was finding his legs after basically a year off of college ball. He’s a stud

That drive had great playcalling. I'm not just saying that because of the score. It was a mix of run and pass in highly varying situations, and of course it helped that JD was able to execute where he was struggling a bit - but his OC helped *him* get some rhythm in this drive too.

I feel like they wasted a couple of drives in this game. Lucky to be behind by 3 right now. Those early drives may cost them this game (due to this defense), but we'll see. This defense cannot carry this team, so those early drives... it's tough.

It's early in the game and in the season, but sometimes it's just not your year, so let's not get to upset, yours truly. Look at the Ravens, starting at 1-4. I'll be focusing on individual players like Bill, Luke, etc...

One more thing, it just seems this team needed to take pre-season games more seriously. This scoring drive looked great, though. Bill is the steal of the draft.

Until JD gets his accuracy back we have to lean on the running game. He's been really off this season so far, even before the injury. Seems weird as his accuracy was on point all last season, and can't blame Terry for that.

That DL isn't ever getting it done on 3rd down.

During that last drive, Jayden looked good so I dont think the wait will be long.

I remember Whitt talking about how this D was going to 'arrive violently,' and that sounds awesome but it doesn't really matter if you're whiffing when you arrive, or just arriving with a glancing hit instead of, you know, actually TACKLING.
