Official Game Thread - Week 2 - Commanders @ Packers - TNF

Hopefully GB will play like this when they get a shot at PHI.

Parsons is unbelievable btw. He never stops and his counters have counters. Hands never stop moving, bend is insane, motor relentless on passing downs, seemingly knows what the OL is going to do before the hands hit his pads and counters it. Unreal and now he’s got a chip on his shoulder and wants to make Jerry look dumb so you’re getting 110%

To be fair he has always seemed like a guy who gave his all. Best way to neutralize is balanced attack. Kliff missed the memo.

This team can run more than what we saw tonight. Kliff's flexibility of scheme is kind of low and that IS a problem in this league.

score was closer than the game really was. We were never really threatening to win it at any point after the kick off. Hope they can regroup but it’s a disappointing showing for sure.

We got to see again in this game what a top 5 back looks like. Jacobs was breaking tackles all game

You got Raiders and Falcons next couple of weeks before Chargers. You want to head into that Chargers game at 3-1 after today. Can't lose games you should win even if it's close, if you are going to struggle like this from time to time. A true tier 1.5 or tier 2 team type behavior.

For that tier to stick after today, they need to win the next 2.

Bill had 4 carries through most of the game with 4+ ypc. He can't break tackles without the ball.

The Packers made us their Giants, a sobering wake up call. That defense is uniquely suited to being Daniels’ kryptonite unfortunately, and the offensive woes acted as a force multiplier on the defensive woes, making it much worse than it would’ve been. Daniels hasn’t fully looked like himself yet this year, and McLaurin didn’t help the situation. Slow start indeed, Dan Quinn

Now now, let's not be overly silly now, we tripled the score the Giants put up, and put up 5 more than Detroit.

I do think the GB defense might end up being one of the if not the best defense in the league.

Jordan Love is 27 years old and GB always wins a SB when their QBs are 27, it might just be their year.

Ekeler injury was very disheartening. I didn't like the B-Rob trade when it happened and this is exactly why.

That was the worst game from Daniels that I have seen in a long time. He looked a little dinged up himself at the end. Packers defense is really good and they showed why tonight. They were spying the hell out of him. Their pass rush is also amazing.

Ekeler is done. 99% sure is the achilles. Time for Chris Rodriguez to step up. We needed a battery ram for this game, just running up the middle, and CR might have helped.

Ertz had some good plays today. I feel like we needed more TE plays but I feel like our other TEs who aren't Ertz couldn't step up. That's a problem.

I am fine if the BRob trade has Kliff running more. Early returns are not there. Kliff needs to wake up to the 2025 NFL. The best teams have way more balance in their full 4 quarters of playcalling. Kliff doesn't have that tendency and that's a problem in the league of today.

So, a couple of points to be made after rhe game:

- Our offense is still out of sync and it showed tonight. Our OL is not solid and is suffering particularly on the right side.

- Our defense was exposed. However, rhe play calling was really bad in this game. Not sure what Whitt (DQ) was thinking, but we were very passive tonight. In other words, we played scared. Night and day from last week.

-we lost 6 points to missed FGs tonight. It's time to find work out some other Ks.

- It appears DE Wise is done for the season. Hope AP has Clowney on speed dial. Also, Eckler looks to be done as well. I suppose we will now be forces to activate CRod (even though thus far they have refused to do so).

- KKs play calling has been absolutely abysmal so far this season. JD5 has looked like a deer caught in headlights. They have consistently gone away from the running game tonight and when they have run, it's been mind blowing that they have not done more RPO. It works. So why are we going away from it?

The OL is a mess. Allegretti has been a mess so far at RG. Connerly has not been much better. Hes a rookie and will make rookie mistakes. But are they willing to get JD5 killed over it? At some point, you've got to settle that OL down. Send in Fant and make a move at RG (Wylie?).

- Either way, I kinda expected us to lose tonight. But I expected rhe team to play better than we witnessed. Poor performance in all facets of the game. Time to retool and get back to basics. Changes are needed. Must retool OL, adjust defense, and get a t back to what made this offense click last season.

On to the Raiders next week.

HTTR!

Makes the pressure we did get on him pretty impressive from the DL
