Official Game Thread - Week 18 - Commanders @ Eagles

Eagle’s arrogance might just cost them the #2 seed.

Another good play by Reaves.

I think I would still enjoy beating the Eagles. How much difference in draft position are we really talking?

At this point, probably not much.
At least one pick probably 2 depending on where our strength of schedule ends up compared to the giants.
Win we pick 7, lose we pick 5 or 6 although the Cardinals just scored and if they pull off a miracle we could move up to 4.
The jets are getting smoked so 4 is as high as we could realistically get.

So if we lose we pick 5th or 6th, and if we win we pick 7th? I guess I can see wanting the higher pick, but I like the idea of wiping the smug look of Sirianni’s face. Really it just doesn’t seem like it makes much difference.

And if the Cardinals who are currently down by 3 can pull off a miracle and beat the rams we could get to 4 but I'd be shocked if that happened.

Cardinals just scored to make it a 3 point game. If they win and we lose we would have the 4th pick. It's a big damn difference

You’re also counting on the Cardinal beating the Rams? And is the hit rate on a 4th pick and 7th pick really “a big damn difference”?

Tankathon always seems silly to me, but I guess that’s what you get when you only win 4 games.

Real time updates, imagine that.
Yup, that site is awesome.
And currently we are technically a half game better than the giants.
But our strength of schedules are very close, we are currently better than them as far as getting a higher pick but I dont know how that's gonna shake out with the remaining games, they could end up with a weaker sos.

no one knows if a higher pick will result in a better player for us. it's just the hope that there is a better chance that QBs get overdrafted and someone falls to us that shouldn't, or a QB is available at our spot that a team wants and can get us draft capital. I'm good with beating eagles but #4 pick sounds good to me and can maybe help alleviate that Marshawn Lattimore trade.

Gotta root for something that will help our team and at this point that's losing and our competition for higher picks winning.

The draft capital between 4 and 7 is huge. The ability to trade the pick if necessary is completely different in the top 5.

Cardinals just took the lead.
Damn!

Still dont think they'll win though.

I heard this morning that Deebo needs 93 yds today to trigger a 450k contract incentive. 👀

Doesn’t look like he will get there, but I would be glad to see it. He’s had a great attitude and been one of our better players since he got here.

Every injury the eagles have they get better.
🤣
