Official Game Thread - Week 16 - Commanders @ Jets

I have seen nothing to change my opinion that the team essentially quit after the Seattle game.

Any intensity and focus after that was lost and Ron was talking to players that had 100% checked out on 2023.
 
The one thing I learned today is that I still have love and passion for this team. I cheered extremely hard for that game winning Jets field goal. A Christmas miracle indeed.

My whole family was watching. We were cheering for it as well. My mom was wondering why we wanted it to go in. My sister-in-law’s father was wondering the same thing. Everyone else was happy that FG went through.
 
Is it me , or does EB instantly start running the ball much more once Sam gets pulled ?

It’s not just you. There seems to be a shift in the play calling. Whether that is true or not, it seems that way. Maybe it’s because Brissett is completing passes and it helps the rhythm of the offense. But they did seem like they ran the ball more with Brissett in the game. His play calling has left me scratching my head all year. I’m starting to think Andy Reid may have helped him in calling plays in KC when things would get out of balance.
 
I did not watch the 2nd half, except for the last 2 minutes after seeing we'd managed to come back and take the lead. All I could think was, Rivera and his staff have managed in one season to destroy what little promise this team had, obliterate the confidence of what was presumed to be the future starting QB, and was probably going to eke out a meaningless win to ruin our draft position. That would've been so Ron Rivera.

Don't feel bad though Ron. 2 out of 3 ain't bad.
