Saahdiq Charles is still on the roster? Geez, these former draft picks stick around forever, even when they have shown they can't play a lick.

Isn't there a guy on one of the other 31 practice squads or even a street free agent that is worth bringing in for a look see at this point at 4-9?

Why the ****(!!!!) is Curtis Hodges on this roster? The guy logged 601 yards at Arizona State - in (wait for it) FIVE SEASONS.

Yeah he's 6'8". Congratulations. That's the only selling point. How does a guy like Curtis Hodges even get on IR? Don't you have to play in games to get seriously injured?

Good lord.

How do you think Braeden Daniels ended up on injured reserve for the season?

He couldn't play a lick in training camp and the preseason and he was put on IR to get that likely bust as a #4 pick out of view of the owner and fans alike.

It's the way Ron works.

He doesn't cut ANY draft picks that first year even when they are busts. He doesn't want to admit he made a mistake.

Then the second season training camp the player is released at the last cut and quickly forgotten about.

It will be interesting to see if a new GM and HC keep Daniels on the roster through training camp and the preseason or whether he is an early summer release.

Ridgeway with an apparent injury pre-game

So, I was watching on delay and couldn't join chat so have to ask here. What in the world was going on with the plays on the goal line where we wasted 2 minutes not even doing a semi-hurry?

Bienemy was trying to demonstrate how he had head coach level time management skills. He ran that just like Rivera would🤪

If they really needed to win, I would have been furious. I was mad as it was because that was such awful game management. Just pathetic. You have to get the ball twice to win. They just wasted so much time.

Also, I think I’m one of the few one here that subscribe to this theory. But they should have gone for 2 after the TD. Ron seems like the type of guy that doesn’t pay attention to other games around the league, but Tennessee just pulled that off on Monday to win. I was laughing when the extra point was blocked because he thought he was taking the safe option. Why try and win when it’s safer to try and tie. That’s Ron’s end of game philosophy.

This guy always breaks down dumb coaching decisions. Ron has been a frequent topic on his videos. He breaks down the amazingly bad time management by Rivera at the end of the game.

I love how he said as long as Rivera has a job, he's going to have plenty of content. I hadn't heard Rivera said they were getting the plays in as fast as they can. That's absolutely ridiculous. You have to have at least 2 plays ready to go in those situations. What's equally baffling is that you would think EB knows this and prepares for it. That either means he's not ready or maybe he was getting instruction from Ron to do something differently.

The time management problem may have also had to do with Brissett being in. It's possible the back up has fewer plays and less experience running the hurry up and red zone stuff. So, they were struggling with what they could call or maybe had to explain the call more.

I have no idea if that's actually true, but maybe?

I do think it's telling (though it might have been exaggeration) when Brissett said that he'd got no reps with the number ones. To be frank, I don't get that. I realize the starter should get the majority, but zero feels like negligence. On any snap a QB can be knocked out of the game so you have to make sure both QBs are somewhat up to speed.

Yeah, I thought about that, but Brissett is also an experienced vet so I would think he'd be in better shape to step up than an unexperienced backup.

I actually think that’s typical in the NFL. With practice time so limited, I think most if not all teams give the starting QB 100% of the reps with the starting unit if he is healthy (although what you are saying makes sense).

I hear ya, but I think I would devote at least a few series each week to the back up. Maybe make it an 80/20 split or something like that.

I think the issue is they didn’t go to hurry up or some sort of quick tempo. With Brisset being a vet, he should know how to run a 2 minute drill. However that was not what he was asked to do. So now you run into the problems of taking 35 seconds to get a play in, get everyone lined up, and then run the play. That’s why this is a coaching failure. Putting it on Brissett or using him as a scapegoat is just lame.

I would guess that most NFL teams go into the game with a predetermined set of plays for the hurry up. Whether we do that or if we do and Brissett just wasn’t fully prepared I can’t say. Regardless, that was typical clock management bungling.
