When: Sunday, December 15th, 2024 - 1:00 PM
Where: Caesars Superdome - New Orleans, Louisiana

Derek Carr is unlikely to play this Sunday due to a probable left-hand fracture along with a possible concussion.

Is it Spencer Rattler time?

Another must win game

This is a game we should win, we are the better team, had to pinch myself, not often over the past few years has that been a real and true statement. I want to see what JD's speed looks like indoors on turf.

Who filled in for Carr when he was out before? It wasn’t Rattler. And Hill is also done, right?

Jake Haener came in for Carr yesterday after his injury. I believe Hill has been put on IR. I expect Rattler to get every chance to show he’s ready this week.

Carr is out. Huge opportunity for the defense to feast, and get another W. It'll be either Spencer Rattler or Jake Hoener.

Indeed. That should in all honesty, be a benefit. But we did lose to Cooper Rush. So I'm not counting it as smooth sailing. And Kamara is the highest priority offensive threat, even if Carr was available, imo.

Interesting: Rap Says he’s out multiple weeks. Schefter says he’s week to week.

Regardless, I think he’s out because if he’s broken his hand and they stink why would he play? Concussion protocol aside…

Hell, they better beat the saints. If not then I won't even want to see them in the playoffs.

I would want to see them in the playoffs even if they lose to the Saints, lol. Problem is if they do lose to the Saints, we are probably not making the playoffs. Rams are on our tail and they have a winnable schedule coming up. Hopefully we win 3 out of 4 and sneak in. 4 out of 4 would be the best for multiple reasons. 2 out of 4 and I imagine we are out.

We're the better team, but players getting their first start have plagued us in the past. That's another demon that needs to be exorcised under the new regime.

Rattler is going to be out there with his hair on fire. That's how he's played all the way back to high school. He's going to have a level of arrogance about him, that will give us a chance to capitalize on risks. It also means there is a possibility to for him to make some big plays. When i think of Rattler, it reminds me of Johnny Manziel, and early Baker Mayfield. We need to be smart on Sunday and make sure we don't let it bite us.

You're right, but this won't be Rattler's first start. He started against the Bucs earlier this year. Looked OK early but quickly unravelled IIRC.

3 pages and not one reference to Chase Young. That guy really has fallen off the face of the Earth.

Chase has gotten really thick (not thicc). He no longer looks nearly as athletic as he once did.
