Victory Monday is a lot nicer than hungover angry Monday, that's for sure!

It is amazing how much more competent Taylor Heinicke looks when he is not being put out on the field trying to come back from 2 or 3 scores down.

It is amazing how much better Taylor Heinicke looks when we commit to the run the entire game.

It is amazing how much better the offense looks when Antonio Gibson is effective.

It is amazing how much better the offense looks when the defense isn't spotting the opponent 14 points to start each contest.

It is amazing how much better the defense looks when the offense can consistently score points on drives and sustain them.

Football is the ultimate team game. When you figure out how to play complimentary football, you usually will smile on Sundays.

He was sacked 5 times and I'm gonna say 3 of them were his own fault. He held the ball too long, stayed in the pocket too long, etc. Rookie stuff.

It also seems like he's been told not to run because he does all these things I just mentioned when he has a clear lane

Has anyone seen online a video of the last drive? I definitely want to watch the whole thing.

Brady was not happy after the game.

Oh, he must have had hypernatremia with what happened to him. Heinicke was persona non grata to him at the end of the game last year, psycho Tom truly didn't want to linger with the practice squad transient he might have had a faint memory of in New England.

And of course, he's owned us since 2003 when he did play this team.

I will say this...

I can't remember the last time I missed a game on a Sunday. That said, I have been watching these games for years with very little emotional investment. I watch, I expect the worst, and the worst usually transpires with this team.

The Gibson TD to seal the game for whatever reason got me out of my chair and feeling a sense of pride.

More than anything else on Sunday, it was really nice being reminded that underneath all the numbness this team has created within my body over the years, there still exists some of that boyhood excitement for the burgundy and gold.

It was really nice in chat, too. We all were cautious, but it was fun when we actually got a good drive or came up with a big stop.

We'll see this week, but I'll be there again.

I got to the game late, but then was afraid to get into chat so I didn't jinx us! :)

Quite frankly, this is how we were all expecting the team to play all year:

Solid defense, good tackling, effective pass rush.
Unspectacular but productive offense that feeds off the defense.

Sadly, I don't know how far they can go with both DEs out. That's a tough break. But the team appears to be figuring some things out, and they caught the Bucs flatfooted, and it was marvelous. :D
Well, it's not like they had been going great gangbusters on defense with both DEs in. I mean, they only had 5.5 sacks between them to this point.

True, the numbers aren't great, but it's allowed the interior line to get more pressure

Exactly. Allen has 6 sacks himself so far. His highest total is 8.
