Official Game Thread - Week 10 - Lions @ Commanders

Thank you Quinn for saving Lions from delay of game. Very polite waste of a timeout.
 
Surprised the Lions are running so much. They can destroy this defense quickly through the air.

Feels like some mercy to keep the score down
 
Im watching without much emotion today. It's been a while since ive been this indifferent. Will root for the boys but I just don't have much hope.

To many injuries and just outclassed.
 
Now see, if Whitt were still up in the booth then Detroit would have scored like 2 plays sooner. It's working!

Our defense is known for slow linebackers being asked to cover fast backs and receivers. We get beat that way every week.
 
I wonder why I started Goff over Lamar Jackson in FF this week.
 
Worst defense ever. We can't stop the run or pass. Man this team is so bad right now

I don’t expect Mariota to be solid or better with these weapons, Daniels looks bad with them and Mariota likely will as well. Especially now that he’s not coming off the bench, but being game planned for by a good team
 
Why did we even bother burning a timeout on defense?

I don't know if better players would help this, or the scheme, but everything any offense does to us looks just so consistent and easy. I'm guessing we've got some pretty big trends that we fall back to, that offenses think ok we can do X because they always do Y when this happens.
 
First time in a long time I am watching Redzone from the beginning of the game. Not going to subject myself to watching this horrific defense.
 
Well Noah has some hybrid capability as a kick returner if the whole "cornerback" thing doesn't work out.

Good kick return, Mariota put a good drive together, looking sharp, but we settle for a FG.

Really we need touchdowns. Only chance is to win a shootout given the strength of their offense and weakness of our defense. We probably need to score 35 or more points to win.
