Official Game Thread - Week 10 - Lions @ Commanders

I believe it was during the 1st half of the 2001 season. We lost 5 straight with Marty and then won the next 5.

We started the season losing
30-3 to Chargers
37-8 to the Packers
and 45-13 to the Chiefs

Oof.
So you're saying that we're about to go on a run. Got it

From your lips to God's ears... of course, Marty got fired after that run :behindsofa:

Once again, I'm hosting my neighbor and my ummm- "friend" (yeah, we made up  ). Making pigs in a blanket, they're easy.

I remain hopeful.

Well, let's be honest here. Marcus Mariota is no Tony Banks.

And Lattimore or Sainristil is no Champ Bailey. Our 3rd or 4th string DE isn't Bruce Smith, and Luvu isn't even 2nd year Arrington. Tunsil/Samuels or Jansen/our rookie scrub Connerly.

I don't know if I have the guts to watch another loss today

Understandable, but I’ve sat through three decades of miserable football without missing a game, why stop now?
Because sometimes you get tired of getting your hopes up and watching the team lose week in and week out

We are due for a good game and I think that Detroit got beat up last week. Marcus should be solid or better. We should be in the mix down the stretch. Unfortunately, Miami looked great today so that won't be easy next week either

We are used to this situation. We're going to lose, easily. if not then why didn't they show anything before this game?

At least we have an actual GM to take advantage of our high draft pick.

I just hope that Peters knows what he is doing, it's getting questionable after the last year or so.

Dan, why you got french fry grease stains on your hoody?

Three and out on offense.

Defense getting gashed, can’t cover screens.

Looks like we picked up right where we left off.

The Lions haven't forgotten how we disposed of them last season. They're out for blood, and we don't have Dyami Brown to put St. Brown in his place.

Jones never even tried to look for the ball on that shot in the endzone, he's fitting in just fine with our DBs, seems like every pass thrown their way I expect a flag.
