The storyline for me is seeing if Treylon Burks has found a new home and can be productive for us. That'd be a nice find for us.

The offense is still too banged up for me to think there is a pathway to victory unless it involves a heavy dose of the run game that keeps the ball away from the opposing offense. I have given up hope on this defense, not just because of Whitt but also because I think the personnel on the field outside of 2-3 players is just not good enough to compete.

I have seen nothing about a benching but CRod was named a captain for the game tomorrow.

Yea I deleted it. I saw a few things on it but it seems like they had question marks at the end of it, basically wondering is he going to be benched based off of the comments from DQ and Kliff

I don’t think he will be ‘benched’. Not start or not be the primary back? Sure, that wouldn’t surprise me.

That's what I meant but to me that's a benching. I think that he will still get reps but if you lose your starting position then you got benched imo. Early in the season if Magee had started over Wagner but Bobby still got 20 plays a game, we would say that he got benched for MaGee

In that instance I guess I would, as well, because MLB isn’t a ‘by committee’ position like RB. I look at Brandon Coleman as an example of being benched.

It is a fishy spread for sure. That means Vegas likes it to be closer than people think. The betting public is overwhelmingly on Det…even our own fans give us little chance of keeping it close. Vegas is welcoming the action with that spread, and Vegas usually wins.

We’ve seen bigger favorites lose several times this year. We were bigger underdogs last year and beat them in Det.

Let’s not forget that the Lions and especially Goff are usually not nearly as good outdoors

This year it just doesn't feel like there is a lot of magic to be made - I don't know why - but when we've faced good teams, expected to blow us out, we've been blown out.
Mariota is a streaky QB. When he is 'on', he can really play surprisingly well. I think he's the wildcard in this one. That being said, I fully expect the Lions to hang a 50 burger on us.

This is my fear and the reason I’ve had this one figured as a loss since the schedule came out. We really broke Detroit’s hearts last year, they’ve had this one circled on the calendar for sure.

But we really need to win this one to get back in the hunt. Here’s hoping we do!

Woah. I knew it was bad but I didn’t realize it was historically so. I wonder when that record was set.

I believe it was during the 1st half of the 2001 season. We lost 5 straight with Marty and then won the next 5.
