Can't go out there and lose to Josh Dobbs.

This is in all likelihood the least skilled passer starting the opener from around the NFL.

This game is really about Jack Del Rio getting his unit ready to play an offensive unit in Arizona that is challenged to make plays and shut them down as the talent on talent matchup shows SHOULD happen.

The past 3 seasons, I never had the expectation our quarterback was going to dominate games and win them on his own, but this defense has at times been a major disappointment because the hype, the contracts and the talk surrounding it HAS given the impression they were emerging and ready to lead the way in getting some W's on the board.

Hard to do that consistently without turnovers and with dropping 8 into coverage on key third downs at midfield late in games.

Let's start with the #1 goal of pressuring quarterbacks into making mistakes instead of playing it safe.

Amazing that the line on this game is still 7 points considering how badly the Cardinals seem to be trying to tank the season.

I hear you although I don’t think Vegas holds us in great esteem … yet. We’ll have to actually beat up on some teams we are supposed to before we get that kind of respect. Until then it’s ‘any given Sunday’.

So the Cardinals put that video out? The players all looked disinterested. Why would you put that out or let it be out out?

I can see it though. There's a part of me that can't shake the notion, "This team always starts slow." "This team always plays down to its opponents." "This team always finds a way to embarrass itself."

Yeah, we have new ownership, but almost everything else is still the same and the ghosts still haunt.

QB is not the same. And the difference it's going to make is going to be noteworthy imho. Not to mention these coaches are playing for their jobs.

But yeah, it's hard to feel comfortable no matter who we are playing, right?

I hope so too. Hard to escape those jitters and shoo all the monkeys off my back.

While hoping for the best, two plus decades of conditioning makes me expect the worst.

There's a big part of me that kind of (maybe irrationally) hopes that the team just had incredibly bad karma due to the owner.
It just seemed like EVERYTHING always turned sour here in very short order.
The struggles to find a franchise QB, the star players who underperformed, the coaches who just couldn't win. The list is endless.

For instance, I feel like if Chase Young had gone to any other team, we'd be seeing him being talked about in the same terms as Bosa etc.

The eternal optimist in me is hoping that with Dan gone we've cleansed this house of it's bad mojo and we can now start rolling.

But, it's hard to shake the pessimism that's been bred in me for soooooooo long.

Terry McLaurin: Full Pads
Logan Thomas: Full Pads
Chase Young: Full Pads

I don't know if i agree with this... 2 gameday call ups? 8 WRs active (depending on Terry) unless Pringle / Tinsley ends up being inactive?
