The Starter
Poor throw from Johnson there. Have to lead the receiver into the middle of the endzone. I have no clue what we are gonna do at QB3?

I've sat in those seats before. Great view of the field and there is a guy up there that throws candy to everyone.

Hope somebody cuts somebody.Poor throw from Johnson there. Have to lead the receiver into the middle of the endzone. I have no clue what we are gonna do at QB3?

if we need one, Kliff will lure Colt McCoy out of retirement.Poor throw from Johnson there. Have to lead the receiver into the middle of the endzone. I have no clue what we are gonna do at QB3?
My best takeaway from the preseason is that the OL has been really solid. We have plenty of depth there. Going to be tough cuts there. Tons of depth at WR as well. Even with the horrific QB play we have seen something from that group. No clue what the defense is going to look like. Backup DL has not been very good.

No matter how much angst anyone feels watching a preseason game, it doesn't change the fact that there is literally zero correlation between results in the preseason and regular season results. There just isn't.

I hope you’re right, but I tend to think more like Harbaugh, how you practice is how you play. I know DQ is not much of a preseason guy, but I believe his teams are slow starters too.
I would always prefer to see the 'team' firing on all cylinders, even if it's scrubs. But again - there is no evidence that preseason performance is predictive of regular season performance. It just doesn't work that way.

Agree, but it’s also an indication of team depth. Right now it looks like our starters are really good, our second team is NFL credible, and our third string doesn’t belong in the league. Overall all it’s likely we will be OK but we have had seasons with multiple injuries at a position. I don’t want to see Dieter at center ever again.I would always prefer to see the 'team' firing on all cylinders, even if it's scrubs. Agree with all of that.I hear you. Although Johnson, when called upon in the past, did a good job. We are still early in this rebuild, and even at backup level you can't build a world class roster overnight. I have a lot of confidence that this roster will be stronger than last year's and I think in the short-term that's really all we can ask for.
That's all that matters....that and no injuries!I thought we looked great on offense and defense the first couple of series last week.
