Maybe it is just me, but I would like to give these guys an Osaka-sized whooping.

Do it for Danny Johnson.

I'm kind of with Sam Cosmi - sorry. Preseason games don't matter. Historically, there is ZERO correlation between preseason record and actual success in the regular season. So if preseason games 'matter', I would need someone to explain what that means? Because in terms of actual success in games that count, there is no correlation. If by 'matter' one means 'winning is always better than losing', okay, I guess I get that as I'd always rather watch a win than a loss. But beyond that momentary level of satisfaction, these games really don't matter :)

If they did, the Ravens would be in the Super Bowl every year.

I just want guys to play well and no injuries. That's all we need.

I have a dim memory of the glory years. Gibbs famously lost a lot of preseason contests, but what I think I remember was that he routinely won the first half. What that meant (to me) was that when his starters and primary backups played they were expected to execute and outplay the other team. Our vanilla was better their vanilla, but that our deep depth wasn’t tasked to execute plays as much as test what players could do.

They do matter mentally. You need to be out there trying to win. If your attitude is "who cares?" the entire team hears it.

No, I agree. I just don't want some lineman saying it doesn't matter when it does. Every player should be giving all effort they can to win at their position on every play.

I don’t think we really disagree.

Young QB and a new offense. Just want to see them play long enough to get a rhythm and have some success.

Would be nice if the defense would give us a glimpse that they are able to stop the run.

I want the Commanders to end the Ravens winning streak.

I want Sam Howell to throw 4 touchdowns.

I hope Terry Mclaurin will score 2 touchdowns.

I think the final score will be 21-16 Commanders

Talk to you guys soon!

I think we would all be pretty happy with that Little Piggy. Chances are, they will only play Howell and Mclaurin for a quarter or so. Let's hope they look good and that the backups can get us a win and break the Ravens streak of preseason wins.

Im interested to see the adjustments or lack thereof of the O-line . I have to believe that week of film and corrections the unit will look better

I just don't want injuries. We're looking a tad nicked up lately, so I really just want to get to the season in the best health we can.

That said, it would be nice to seem Howell have a few nice drives. We looked a little untidy against the Browns, so I would like to tidy that up. Especially the penalties. I imagine EB was on their case about that.

Be nice to end that unbeaten streak, but I'm not stressing it. :D

I'm hearing we may not see Leno OR Wylie tonight. I want Howell to get work, and I want Bieniemy to figure out ways to get that done without getting him killed. Too many times in the past we've been handed this situation, down lineman, and it seems like we just do the same things without adjusting to provide more help.

Rumor has it that Baltimore is not playing any of it’s starters tonight.

Cosmi says the ravens 24 game winning streak is "a stupid record"

I wish Rivera would tell him to shut up. But, he is just a reflection of his coach who also won't shut up.

Yeah, not gonna lie...while preseason games don't matter outside of injuries, if players are saying stupid stuff like that it shows a lack of discipline otherwise. That's what matters to me in the down times...are you keeping focused?

Seems like some people need a focus adjustment on the team.

A game being broadcasted on ESPN, the first chance for Josh Harris' team to be showcased to a broader audience both in attendance and watching on TV...there has to be a certain degree of wanting to look decent tonight and putting forth a good showing, in particular for the portion of the game in which the bulk of the starters will be playing. I know you want to ultimately shake off the "same old Redskins" thought process among onlookers in the regular season when it matters, but dress rehearsals so to speak have a certain level of importance too I would think. I think if Josh Harris is watching with any sort of a keen eye during the preseason, this has to be the night where his interest is peaked most. It's a good opportunity tonight to at least move the confidence needle in the right direction for this group of players against a normally well-respected franchise in Baltimore. That's where I am at.
