Yeah, that's exactly the mental image I had.
 
You all actually brought up a good point and why I think the O-line isn’t addressed like we think. Last year for example, Wentz was a statue, holding the ball. Heinicke would run around like a mad man and then chuck and duck. So when it was Wentz, it was all his fault. When it was Heinicke, his legs hid some of the problems we could all see. Go back the past few years and it’s the same story. The rest of the team having to pick up slack to make up for the o-line and then they go into the next year saying “Our o-line isn’t that bad. We didn’t give up as many sacks as that team. We ran the ball well in these 3 games late in the year.” It seems like they have fooled themselves every year into thinking the line was good, when in reality, they were barely getting by and instead of improving, they seem to get worse every year.
 
You are correct.

That's one reason I have been screaming for the team to invest a #1 pick in a franchise OT or top guard off the board, but the team for years has ignored the OL and loaded up FOUR #1 picks along the defensive line and then took Jamin Davis way too early in Round 1 in 2021.
 
I really thought Bienemy would stand on the table and demand he get the first couple picks to address this OL. The fact they went DB not once, but twice with the first 2 picks just blows my mind.
 
Bienemy was able to get Rivera to sign Andrew Wylie after the Super Bowl.

Wylie was a high risk/reward player. He graded out at replacement level during the 2022 season at RT but was stellar in the playoffs and Super Bowl for Kansas City.

The question was whether Wylie found a home at RT after playing other positions earlier in his career or was the playoff run a one-off aberration of outstanding play that put him more in the Timmy Smith mold of a one and done?

Certainly the results against a Cleveland defense that was minus Myles Garrett on that side were not promising.

And you have to look at Andy Reid's response. Reid made no moves to try and retain Wylie and indeed went out and acquired two new tackles for 2023.

So, that may speak loudly as well.
 
Didn't watch the game, but the highlight that stood for me was the opposing QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson.

Sure, it's preseason, but he gave that "pit in stomach feel" with some of his passes that reminded me of Tom Brady.

And if The Athletic's recent feature of him is any indication, he has the drive and love for the game that makes him likely to develop.
