Quinn is probably still stinging from that Dallas game. Meanwhile I am still stinging from watching conservative coaching for 5 decades afraid to go for it on 4th and short, and punting out of the back of the endzone net 17 time and time again. Its funny how much the punting game has changed. Now fair catches around the 5 yard line are now the norm. Punters no longer boot it blindly.

I am glad we showed a wrinkle on offense and had Mariota out there. Detroit will take note of that and be fixated on Daniels if we motion him out. Cause confusion and make them fixate on a decoy.

The lack of running game from BRob is getting... awkward. I am SO glad we did use him in the passing game however, a good start to not letting Detroit see us telegraphing run up the gut for 2 yards when he is in the game. I have a sneaking suspicion we see a lot more Ekeler vs Detroit. Our counter to Gibbs Montgomery.

I think the BRob experiment for this season needs to be reevaluated. I think he's either injured or he's somehow declined as a RB in general. I know we're not getting much from the OL as far as run blocking, but even with that, BRob's vision seems lacking, he appears to have little to no lateral wiggle, and he's getting taken down by first contact far more than he ever was before.

Who knows, maybe I'm completely wrong and McNichols and CRod wouldn't have any more success. But at this point, what's the harm in trying them out? They can't really be any worse than BRob.

As to the gameday thread vs chat. I don’t personally enjoy the chat for several reasons and very, very, very rarely partake. The game threads here are where I go during commercials. Well, there and X.

Thanks Ashburn Dave. Like I said, anyone who prefers the game day thread is welcome to it. Sometimes folks are ahead of others and that can be a turnoff if you are hearing about the play 20 seconds before you see it. Not much we can do about that. It is usually the 'streamers' who are behind. I do 'wipe' the chat because it never occurred to me that anyone would want to go back and read it. I can wait 24 hours to do that in the future though. And as I said, the chatroom is always accessible at the bottom of every screen. I do post the thread just to help anyone who may not realize that.

It seems they run BRob up the gut all the time. Kliff needs to switch it up. It’s frustrating to watch. We really need another RB next season. JD is gonna get killed if we can’t run the ball.

I had Breezeline cable only to find out the delay exists there also, because even cable isn’t actually “cable” these days. They are all streaming and all of them seem to be behind about 15 seconds. I just switched over to Sling.

What are people using that actually has them watching the games in real time? HD Antennas?

I’m a bit old-school so I was squeamish about not taking the three to tie the game on the first one. But after that I liked going for it on fourth down the rest of the times. Jayden is just so clutch that it defies the standard percentages. And we should prepare for more of the same next week. I don’t think FGs are gonna get it done against Detroit.

I feel that way about not lining up under center during 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1. I just don't like short yardage shotgun.
