Official Game Thread - Playoffs Week 1 - Commanders @ Buccaneers - SNF

A Snoopy dance is also appropriate.

Finally got to sleep at 5am got to work at 9am. What a game. Daniels just has ice in his veins. To run off the final 4minute and 41 seconds of the clock to win the game is simply frightening, you cannot give him the ball back in the 4th quarter. Simply astonishing.

I could hear the Commanders fans in the UK, absolutely fantastic. On to Detroit and another 1am kickoff for us on this side of the pond.

Someone tell Kancey this aint flag football? That stiff arm from JD5 was awesome.

Try to fathom how many Tampa fans saw a glimmer of life when the ball hit the upright. But I was growing concerned when Zane wasnt putting his helmet on soon enough.

What a game. A bleeding Daniels is beyond avatar worthy.

I have no problem with you guys discussing the game 'in game' in a thread, but you all do KNOW we have chat software right where 40 or 50 folks live chat during the game, right? I just want to make sure you know in case you want to join (vs. making posts in a thread). Totally cool either way.
Where is the chat located?

They always post a chat thread with the link. You can also find chat buttons on your phone or laptop

I have mixed feelings about the chat room vs a game day thread. The chat room is live and fast and if you blink, the discussion is gone. A game day thread is slower but whole. You can start on any page in the thread and take your time reading through it.

Last night was my first time participating in the chat room and it was fun but maybe too fast for my liking. The other thing I didn't really like about the chat room is that it gets wiped out after the game. I tried to catch back up in the chat room this morning, but all was gone already.

To answer your question about where the chat is, Boone creates a chat thread each game and at the top of the thread is the link to chat. This week's thread was called 'Wildcard Game Chat Sunday'.

I bet most all players would love playing for Quinn. Gibbs was great but more like... Dad. I remember hearing Gibbs say he keeps calling Sean Taylor to find out why he is skipping OTAs but he is not answering.

I am elated. My son just got into Commanders everything right before the Chicago game. He is getting spoiled.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers LOL skinsmarydu I'll take one of your southern absolut sunkist specials, please.

I thought it might be a dislocation. Hope they were able to pop that sucker back in place and there's no serious damage.

Play of the game? Foresight to spot the ball for the game winning field goal on the left hash mark...lol
My first reaction was not that kind.
I was not pleased with making the field goal 5 yards longer just to line up the hash.
If that had boinged and went right instead of left that decision would have really pissed me off.
Just because it was still a very makeable kick for an nfl kicker doesn't mean you have to make it any longer, we were inches from finding that out the hard way.

I too didn't like losing yards to kick, but it helps the angle??

Unsung hero shout outs... Ekeler Dyami and Smokin' Joe Whitt.

Someone needs to dig and find out what he did to contain Tampa overall, and also shutdown Evans in the 2nd half. I know he pulled Lattimore off shadow at times.

Second half was all about strength and conditioning ;)

Kancey surrendering waving the white flag was symbolic of their inevitable loss. I'll spend today contemplating making a gif of him waving the flag but maybe someone more cut from the Frank GIFFERord mold can make it for us

I wonder if Daniels keeps that towel there as bait for players to grab.

Yeah, I prefer the GDT. Don't care for the chat. There's always a couple posters calling out plays before I see them happen, so I gave up.
