Official Game Thread - NFC CHAMPIONSHIP - Commanders @ Eagles

Honestly, run the hurry up a lot. When the Rams did it, Carter was exhausted and had to go to the sideline the first chance he got, where he was down on one knee with a water bottle and sucking wind.
Yeah, when he goes out, they need to stay in hurry up and not substitute. Then he has to stay on the sideline. Well, he can sub but it becomes a lot more difficult.

Negative sir. Jayden in his post game interview praised the fans who showed up in Detroit and asked for fans to show up this week. Everyone who is willing and able should follow his lead and post for the game. I’ve been there 3 times with my Darrel Green jersey and I can assure you it’s all completely overblown. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a church picnic, but there is nothing to fear. To any fans thinking of making the trip to support the team I say go for it and thank you!!
IDK...I've seen some pretty intense church picnics before.

You know how some teams have a lot of cap space to sign solid difference making free agents yet also have all their draft picks?

And you know how some teams have really really good cultures and players enjoy going to work because of that culture and how much they love the coaches, GM and owner?

And you know how some teams have a foundational QB and other players surrounding him and are obviously going to be competing for a championship potentially for the next decade and how players from around the league want their agents to get them on that team because they want to win? Maybe even taking less to play there?

Our Washington Redskins have become that team. We have money. Picks. Amazing talent especially at the most important position. Who wouldn’t want to play or be traded there [here]?

And we are one win away from the unbelievable. I have to pinch myself.

I said this in the next day thread but I will repeat it here. Nothing would make me happier than beating them in their own house for the NFC Championship. Raising that trophy in their house in front of their fans. Would be a singular moment for me that would make right so much negative and embarrassment that has occurred in the last 25 years.

I think Jalen will be limping in regardless of any injury he incurred yesterday. Same with their DROY Quinyon Mitchell who is likely to play... If so I would like to see that sore shoulder tested early if so. Lets do a WR screen and get Bates out there.

I believe if we play the way we did against Detroit we will win. All three phases firing on all cylinders.

NFL fans love a good story and Washington has the tastiest if they make the Super Bowl.

Play the Chiefs? You've got a team that moved on from native imagery playing a team that still insists on banging a war drum, singing a made up chant and doing tomahawk chops. That's not to mention the new bright young star going up against the one who thinks he owns the league.

Play the Bills? Even better! The last time this team beat the Bills was Super Bowl XXVI. Win and they'll come full circle, undoing 33 years of failure and restoring the cosmic balance.

What would the Eagles have? Rematch of Super Bowl LVII? No one asked for that. Turning up 30 years later than the rest of the NFC East for a Super Bowl against the Bills? Yawwwwnnnnn!

For the sake of good football, as much as for this fanbase, a win for Washington is a win for everyone! except Eagles fans.

Don't worry guys I figured it out

This. But also, could there be a season more magical than to beat the Eagles in their house, and then win the Super Bowl against the Chiefs, with Daniels outplaying Mahommes? You couldn’t make a fictional movie like that. It would be too far fetched and cliche to be enjoyable.

That’s what I’m looking for. Beat the Eagles and then beat the Chiefs.

Playing like we did includes being +5 in TO differential which we cannot Carl Banks on. I'll be thrilled if we can pull off +2.

Hopefully Jalen's wonky knee leads to overthrow duck INTs or a lack of mobility like we saw in that safety yesterday and leads to a strip sack or 2. We need to contain Barks Jalen and Jalen... easier said than done most weeks. I do expect more trickery tried with Mariota but after seeing Detroit / Tampa flop on their gimmicks maybe its best we should snap the ball to Daniels and not Mariota nor Gonzales for that matter. Put Mariota at WR and leave Gonzo for kickoffs.

As someone who lives in Chiefs country.... I wholeheartedly approve of this message.

Here in SE PA, all's quiet. There's no jawing; there's no bravado; it's as if the Eagles' fanbase is concerned, and they should be. Here's the bottom line: there's only one team that will fail to meet expectations should they lose on Sunday, and it's not Washington.

The pressure rests solely on the Eagles as this is a SB or bust run for them. Washington, on the other hand, has exceeded expectations, and continues to play with house money. They are relaxed, focused, and lead by a calm, cool, and collected rookie QB who is mature beyond his years. Nothing would make me happier than Washington hoisting the NFC Championship trophy at Lincoln Financial Field. It would be euphoric for the DC fanbase, while devastating for the Eagles faithful to be eliminated by a team on the unimaginable rise with a rookie QB, and nearly $90M in cap space.

LFG; let's get this done, while continuing to send a message that there's a new beast in the east.
