Official 1st Annual 2025 BGO Mock Draft

When Washington selects in the real draft, most likely, for each of their picks, there will be a corresponding member of our group who previously evaluated the player. Would be interesting to get feedback on why you picked them.

Cheers The Rook I didn’t like Sanders in New York. I think Fields might do well there this year but I wanted someone to challenge him. I’d heard someone on a podcast talk about how fun a watch McCord was so the plan was to try to get him around the 4th. Worked out well in this case. I lost out on a few others also.

Kansas City Chiefs Recap: The most pressing need for the Chiefs heading into the 2025 draft is addressing their OL, which some say has cost them 2 Super Bowl victories. I believe that area was addressed with the addition of whom I ranked as the #1 OG in this class Tate Rutledge who instantly brings some dog in that group. I also selected for them mammoth draft riser LT Anthony Belton out of NC State and took a flyer on another rising prospect and athletic freak with an insane RAS score for someone his size OT Bryce Cabeldue Kansas. We also solidified the Safety position with whom ranked the #1 SS in this class Kevin Winston Jr Penn State who can also play the FS position and Sebastian Castro Iowa while limited athletically is a sound tackler and very good around the LOS. I added depth to their thin RB position with Woody Marks USC who I think could truly thrive in that system and finally added a very promising LB in Cody Lindenberg Minnesota to add to what is a strength position on the defensive side of the ball and developmental Edge prospect Johnny Walker Jr. Missouri. And last but not least I added DT Tyleik Williams Ohio State to play alongside stud DT Chris Jones.

Saints draft is now complete. OL is their biggest need with LG the main concern. Will Campbell was the best OL available at 9. He can be a day 1 starter at RT. Later in the draft I traded up to get Jones from LSU. He will start at the problem LG position. I tried to trade up to 29 for Dart but the Giants and The Rook wanted him more. So it’s another year with Carr who may well impress with improved protection.

I’d be interested to know how you guys rate Donovan Smith, QB, Houston. He wasn’t even on the big board I downloaded. I found him whilst looking for an alternative to Riley Leonard. I liked the reviews of him but I am wondering why he’s not getting much buzz in this draft which is light on QB talent?
 
Adam Peters and the Front Office went to work reconstructing this Defense in Dan and Joe's image. They decided early in the offseason that stopping the run would be paramount. The additions of Kenneth Grant and Ty Hamilton readies the Dline for the departure next year of Daron Payne or for the possible trade this season at some point. Josaiah Stewart and Ahmed Hussanein give the team a little more punch for its pass rush. Several of the FA additions may not make the team given the way the draft shook out ie Goldman or Martin....

Dylan Sampson and Kyle Williams fit in well with what Kliff wants to do and are new toys for Jayden to utilize for the offense. We continue to commit to protect Jayden with a versatile steady eddie in Jalen Rivers.

Both Cody Simon and Kitan Crawford solidify our already stalwart special teams and both have the ability to get on the field at some point.
Word on the street is weve signed Montrel Johnson Jr as a street FA to pair with Dylan, this pick makes Brian Robinson a Trade candidate as well heading into his last year.
News just came in we also signed Ryan Fitzgerald the kicker out of FSU with a huge leg.

Overall pretty happy with the trade downs and haul. But I wouldnt be surprised if we went more Quality over Quantity on either side of the ball earlier if the trade downs dont materialize.

Good job finishing everyone! Sorry i had to bail this last day but my internet went down last night about 10:00PM As it is I am sitting in a Cracker Barrel for dinner just so I have access LOL I appreciate COWBOY-KILLA for taking care of my picks. Probably the best pics the teams made... 😂😂

Great job to all the GM as always, both new and experienced! What a pace! You all came prepared and made this as much or more fun than any we had. We have never gotten done in 5 days before. Excellent pace! Makes it so much more fun. For reference for some of the newbies, I remember the first we did lasted almost 5 weeks!!

I really enjoy this exercise, and I hope you all did too! Now I know it can happen I will be more ready next year. Already looking forward to it!!

I have never participated before, but watched from afar. It was a lot of fun. Also, for those of us who more casually follow college football and the draft, you get more familiar with more players before the draft. So there will be less of "who's that again?" when we pick them.

And thanks to Goskins10 and COWBOY-KILLA for being commissioners.
